About Us

Kristin Link is Mama to two girls and the owner of SMS. She's a former educator who loved teaching and training, but now feels incredibly lucky to be buying and selling fabric for a living. Life gets in the way of many of her sewing goals, but she still manages to make a few bags, baby toys and small gifty things every once in awhile. When it happens, you're sure to hear about it on the blog.

Beth Wilson is our blog editor. Another former teacher, she knows how to make the blog both fun and informative. Although she comes off as very friendly in all her blog posts and emails, we assure you, she's even nicer in real life. Beth sews for her new home and her little boy, who prefers things blue and elephantish.

Lauren Willhite works in the shop, keeps up the shop site, and does most of our graphic design. She's a lover of print and pattern and has never met a Minny Muu she didn't like. Lauren also runs the graphic design company, Squid, with her husband. We highly recommend them for your design projects, both large and small.

Rebecca Powers works in our shop and can be seen sporting a new handbag just about every week. She is the sewist we all turn to for help. You can see some of Rebecca's projects on her Lulu Dahl blog and in her Etsy shop.

Irene Rodegerdts started out as one of our blog board members and now fills in all over the place. She is our forum hostess, making sure questions get answered, concerns get addressed and spammers get 86'd. She also manages our photo pools, helps out in the shop, and writes awesome tutorials. You can learn more about Irene's crafty life on her Mushroom Villagers blog.
