We love all of the inspiring photos in the Kids’ Clothes Month Flickr Group! Here’s a selection of Sew-Along scarves for your viewing pleasure (click on the credit links below for more on these crafty patchworkers!). Have you made your scarf (or scarves) yet?! It’s Free Fabric Friday! This week we’ll give away one yard ($9.10 or less) of fabric (your choice!) to five people. Comment anywhere on the blog from now through Monday morning for your chance to win. Don’t miss this week’s Little Hip Skirts pattern review by Lara and the Britches & Bloomers pattern review by Mary. Note that the Britches & Bloomers pattern, with the right fabric and embellishment choices, can be snazzy for boys too. Have a great weekend!

I am entering the contest.
Wow – all those scarves are really cute. I might have to add this to my list of projects earmarked for Christmas presents!
Those scarves are too cute. It’s starting to get cold and it looks like I’ll be needing one soon!
Cute scarves! I don’t think my 7 month old would wear one though!
What fantastic scarves! Each one so unique. Love them.
Those scarves are so cute!
I am at once blown away and shamed by all the awesome clothes in the Kids Pool! Why can’t I pull any of that off?!
I agree with other commenters, all these scarves are so cute. thank you for all what you do and show.

Cute, cute scarves. I have never made one from fabric – may have to give it a try!
Those scarves are adorable, I’m just a bit hesitant to make a scarf for my (VERY active and squirmy) two year old. Maybe next year.
These scarves all look so great!
Oh my those scarves are absolutely lovely!!
Cute cute scarves…I can’t wait for the chill to arrive here, and to sew some for my gals at home!
I am loving kids’ clothing month, especially the boys tutorials!
oh cute scarves! love the mosaic of them.
Love all the ideas for kids!
I LOVE all the scarves! They’re all so different anc adorable! I’ve currently got all my fabric spread out on my dining room table in hopes to make a few more of them this weekend.
Even though I don’t have children, I’ve enjoyed seeing the different pattern reviews and projects for children!
Loved all the cute clothes this week!
in again! love the scarves…
I love all the kid ideas too. I keep adding them to my long long list of things to do. The scarves are wonderful!
Must make scarves!
Thanks for posting all of the pictures of the scarves. I’ve been thinking for years about sewing some kind of scarf. I saw one at a store once that was velour patchwork with a satiin stitch outlining the shapes. It was so simple in construction, I thought, hey, I can do that! and for way cheaper ($100) than the store price. I should do this to use up some of the odd fabrics in my stash that won’t work in a bigger project (because I don’t have enough, etc.).
I’ve always loved scarves in the fall, the possibilities of making your own are endless! Thanks for the ideas!
LOVE THE PINK, GREEN & BLACK FABRIC PICTURED HERE! CUTE!
Excited to say that I’ve completed three scarves so far, but I’ve not photographed them yet. I’m a bit intimidated by the whole flickr thing! Some day…
I love the scarf idea as a Christmas present.
What a great prize! Here’s hoping!
it’s so cool to be included in such a talented group of scarf-makers! I am already working on one for me and a couple more for presents. Gotta make something for my boy, too. Maybe some flannel jammies…
These scraves give me alot of inspiration!
I love the blue scarf at the bottom! I’d bet these would be nice with a soft, fleecy backing material…mmm…cozy!
I adore all of the sew scarves. What a great stashbuster and quick gift! I’m totally inspired by the flickr gallery.
I need to make a scarf ASAP. I am dying to do that. I especially love the first one. The color combinations and the button detail, adorable! You are getting me inspired! Thank you.
Yay…FFF….means it’s the weekend! Happy Sewing
I’m ALMOST done with my scarves! They’re super cute! LOVED the tutorial.
I haven’t made a patchwork scarf yet, but I think I am going to make a raw edge jersey scarf soon.
Man, the only kids clothes that I’ve had time to make this month were Renaissance Festival costumes. Does that count?
Must.make.scarves.

I haven’t had a chance yet to sew up one of these scarves, but I have a bag full of scraps just perfect for something like this! Can’t wait until I have little ones of my own to sew cute clothes for.
I love the brown and blue scarf. And the Freshcut scarf. So cute!
It normally doesn’t get cold enough here to need scarves, but we are visiting friends in Wyoming this winter so I will have to make up a couple of these for the kids to use while we are there.
I just found this site and am so excited to try out some of the projects. The scarves are fabulous! What an easy and fun project. Plus, Free Fabric Friday? I’m in a little cloud of happy.

I love the pink one with the little embroidered rose. If only I had that much creativity! I just found this site, and what a wonderful idea for sharing crafts with a new crafty generation. One day when I have children, I will definitely use this idea!

Yay, it’s the weekend. I hope I get some time to sew. I have been sewing when my daughter naps so I can get my ‘sew’ on. Have been inspired to try things with trim….. who would’ve thought it can turn a ‘blah’ pair of kids pants into a ‘wow they are so cool’ pair of pants.
Oh, I do love these scarves, especially #8, 9, and 10. I think I’ll have to make one for myself!
Love the scarves…..I’m adding that to my “to do list”
Sew a scarf? Novel! *crosses off a chunk of holiday knitting* These are really great.
Did I hear ‘free fabric’? Me please!
I still haven’t made mine yet. I keep getting distracted by other projects. But they are so fun to see.

I love all the scarves. I would make one, but living in the deep south I am afraid it would never get worn! Love the skirt tutorial. I just bought that pattern and have been wanting to use it! Great Month!
These scarves are popping up all over the place! I was at Jo-Ann’s today and saw some cute fat eighths, but resisted the urge… I have so much fabric here already! Someday I’ll get to making one of my own…
I’ve just about finished my first scarf, so I need to finish it up and photograph it before I move on to the next one I have planned out in my head! They are so easy and quickly become addictive!
Wow, so many pretty scarves!
It is so much fun to see everyone’s creativity come to life and how many different versions can be made all from one idea!

The scarves are looking really nice! I’ve been enjoying reading the reviews.
Wonderful scarves! They are all so cute!
I did some scarves this week but geared it more towards the “teen” age girl. They loved them to my surprise and had a great time learning to sew and putting the fabric combinations together themselves!
I have been wanting to make one of these scarves.. as well as 5 million other things I want to sew.
I will have to get to it before it gets cold. Winter is right around the corner and this is a great way to put all of my scraps to good use!
Okay today, I got in gear. Picked out scraps to make my scarf!
Once you make one, you will soon be making more!

Yay Fabric!
I love that embroidered butterfly. I just bought a hoop and floss yesterday, perhaps I can come up with something nice.
hi! Your site inspired me to do a little inventive sewing last night – or shall we say this morning. I am just to the point of sizing and hemming a cute jacket and skirt for my horse obsessed 6 year old daughter. I left the outfit by her bed and when she awoke she was SO excited!! Yeah!! Thanks for the inspiration, the lack of sleep is overshadowed by the thrill of completing the job.
So cool to see all of the different variations. I’m going to make one RIGHT NOW!
These beautiful scarves make me wish for the fall weather to come faster here!
The kids and scarves look absolutely adorable! So many scarves – I reckon we can now throw a ‘virtual’ fashion show…hehe
I’m so inspired by all the fun patterns and projects!
Camille
I think I’m going to have to make one of those, but think of a different purpose for it – California’s too hot for scarves.
