What a wonderful pool of talented women. Thank you to all those who have so willingly given their time and skills to share their tutorials.
That Advent calendar is cute! I also think it would be neat to have one that is a gingerbread house, and each item decorates the gingerbread house. (Would probably work best in felt, unless you REALLY want to work with velcro or another fastener.)
I have started reading your blog since the end of November, although I knew about your site since this summer from links to fabrics that are use by your customers. I have to say, I love the ideas you present! I have taken many of the ideas for the holidays and are putting them into action. Thank you again!
I have also made such an Advent Calender. A great project!
The Elf hat is too cute!
I love Suzanne’s projects and am adding them to my todo list.
I just love all of the handcrafted holiday ideas you have provided over the last few weeks! These ideas have really helped me to get ready for this holidays and to think about what I want to work on throughout the year next year! Thanks!!!
So cute! I was looking for an advent calendar recently, but couldn’t find anything I liked, this one is perfect!
Thank you for Advent Calendar! I’ve been racking my brain for something cute to do that was simple.
Thanks Lina
There have been so many items for inspiration.

I just love that oven mitt!
I love the advent calendar at linaloo. I think my grandkids NEED it, don’t you?
I love that oven mitt with “Hot!” on it! So cute! Thank you!!
that calendar is great! and i just bought one very similar to that yesterday! if you change the design up just a bit, you can have room enough for a photo area. The one I found has a spot for a small 4×6 photo you can change out each year.
I love the advent calendar idea, as well as the patchwork dish towels! Oh, and I printed out some of your gift tags onto cardstock, and they’re lovely! Thanks for all the good ideas this Christmas.

Oooo–I’m going to bookmark that Advent calendar for next year!
Thanks for all the great ideas!
Ha, I love it! Every time I see the words “oven mitt” I think of that scene in “The Jerk.” “Congratulations, you win a NEW OVEN MITT!” Maybe they’d have been happier about it if the mitt had been this cute.
I love the advent calendar…this is one I will have to start early for next year! Thanks to everyone for sharing their amazing talent and the Sew, Mama, Sew team for pulling it all together for us! You rock!
I love the advent calender. I might just have to make one for next year.

I LOve this avent calendar. next year I hope to get one finished.
I’ve adapted that kind of Advent calendar for the 8 nights of Hannukah.
It looks great using different shades of blue fabric.
I love the advent calendar. I just finished one this AM. Now a new project for after the first of the year!
I already spotted that advent calendar on flickr and fell in love with it… its on my to-do list for next year. Which I plan to start right after Christmas this year!
Those embroidered mitts are TOO cute!!! put those on my next year list too.

I’ve GOT to make myself one of those advent calenders!
The elf hat is cute, but that huge baby smile is even cuter!

Way cute advent calendar. And love that oven mitt. Thanks!
The Advent calendar is great–there are so many ways you could fill the calendar–you could even make one for a crafting friend and wrap up little gifts of embellishments for each day! The possibilities are endless! This has been such fun to watch every day throughout the season! Quite inspiring and motivating to see all the great ideas.
Ha! Again, such good timing. This is definitely right about the time when I start filing away project ideas for next year. Heck, even a few of this year’s projects are being gently pushed on into ’08.
Love that advent calendar! Will definitely be making that for next year.
Thanks for the oven mitt tutorial exactly what i am looking at making! Now to decide whether to make the oven mitt or pot holder for my MIL.
That advent calendar is so lovely!
The elf hat is just too cute and so is the idea of “Elfing”. I am starting a list of things to make for next year because I am obviously not going to get everything done this year.

my little one is going to love the advent calendar. only wish i had seen it before dec 1!
For some reason my dog loves to chew up oven mitts, and I’ve been looking for ideas to make some new ones to replace the few he destroyed! I just need to make sure to keep them safe from him this time
The advent calendar is really cool.
I saw Lina’s calendar over on her site and printed the photo for my try for next year folder! Soo beautiful. New Year’s Resolution is definitely to move beyond the applique shirts and felt ornaments/finger puppets and try out some sewing . .
I started looking for Advent calendars during November and could find none – they must have all been hiding here! I hope to make one next year, but for now, will need to use this online one: http://www.artcyclopedia.com/feature-2004-12.html
The advent calendar is really cool. It’s makes you think of other things you can start a tradition with for the holidays.
I think that is one of the cutest advent calendars i’ve seen. Love it!
I can’t believe it is too late to make an Advent Calendar for this year! Are we sure November 2007 actually happened? Next Year!

I so NEED to make an advent calendar!!
I so love the look of linen with patchwork in pretty colors. It’s so clean, yet fun with the little touch of patchwork. I’m going to have to try some. That potholder looks great!
This is such an amazing idea! I am only a beginner at sewing but I’ve made the placemats, coaster, baby slipper, band bibs. I can’t wait to start this one!!! Thank you!
Oh, my! I love, love, love the holiday tags! I printed them on regular paper, then used my Xyron to make them into stickers and stuck them to construction paper (card stock would have worked a bit better) to make them more rigid. Super cute!!!
I love that advent calendar. I keep seeing such cute ones on the ‘net, but my friend gave my kids a beautiful calendar. Such a hardship when you don’t have to make something, huh?
What a great Advent calendar idea! I will save it for next year and give it as early Christmas gifts!
