House Mini Quilt |
Soph writes, “The idea initially came from seeing a Japanese craft book that stuck in my mind (this one) and the specifics of the design came partly from the fabrics themselves and partly influenced by Alex at Moonstitches and Hillary Lang.” Soph adds that the finishing touches on the house were inspired by this artist. How delightful! Love it!
Oh my gosh! I think this is so adorable!
This is gorgeous, I especially love the quilting in the sky section. Highlighting the paisley shapes was a beautiful idea!
Soph’s blog is really lovely!
Love the special quilting of each part, espacially the cloudy quilting in the sky! Lovely little quilt, very inspiring!
this is awesome!
Very cute!
Interesting. I have made small appliqued quilted wall-hangings before for myself and for gifts–nothing as small as this quilt shown however. I’m so glad you posted the link to Stitch; I’m enjoyed all her knitting posts as well.
That is gorgeous, I love the little clothes on the line!
I love it! The fabric selection is perfect. I love that the shade is half-drawn in the window. And the little trees for the grass — so cute! Thanks for sharing this with us.
Omg!! That is so cute!! I love it!
Adorable little quilt.
Its all about the right fabric choice for the project. The tree print fabric that makes up the “ground” in this quilt is perfect. The quilting pattern helps give the ground a rolling hill feeling as well. The patterns on the fabric for the house and tree leaves are wonderful as well. I love it!
I just love this quilt so much. I wish it was hanging on the wall of my sewing room. It would constantly inspire me.
that is just freaking adorable!
Just adorable!
One of my favorites, it is truly delightful!…and I usually don’t say “delightful”

This is a great quilt! The “tree” is great! Thanks for the eye candy!
I think that is the cutest one I have seen!
so cute. These would be so cute as placemats and miniature ones for coasters. Very sweet and cozy.
how cute! I could see these in fun, funky fabrics- actually, I could see a handful of them along a wall in a kids bedroom. Or in the kitchen… oh, the possibilities are endless.
What a fun way to do a quilt! I really like the sky. Very cute!
How cute is this?!! I love the choice of fabric and all the little details, like the door knob and the window shade pull.
That is so cute! I love Soph’s blog – very inspirational.
I love that this tells a story.
Really beautiful!
This is the kind of quilting I’d like to do. Now I just have to get up the courage to start.
oh! SOoOO Cute! I think these small, yet unique quilts have such big heart1
I love this little quilt.
What a cute little quilt! Looks like a wonderful way to use itty-bits of fabric I have.
Love it! How inspiring!
I love the window shade in the window, and the shade pull! Very pretty.
A nice little quilt. It has the feel of a contemporary primitive art piece.
This is so nice! I love the fact that the windowshade has a little pull!
So adorable!
So cute!
Now THAT is a tiny quilt. Maybe I’d finish one that size–it is quite wonderful. The fit of the fabrics and the quilting is terrific.
I love this idea–I’m going to try it today!
That would look adorable in a child’s room!!!
Very cute – I love small things. What does size A4 mean?
Adorable! Wonderful detail!
Oh that’s fabulous!
I really love the little clothesline on the quilt! I would love to make one similar.
It’s beautiful!
This may be a dumb question though I have to ask… what do you do with an A4 size quilt? Is that a doll quilt size?
Cute!

This is so so lovely!
How original, I love how the fabric truely does dictate the design.

This is really a lovely mini-quilt. I usually prefer making small works, because I´m a person who loves details and mini-quilts are great for that, including using other techniques together, as embroidery and painting. The possibilities are endless!
charming, simply charming! what is the fabric used for the house and the tree leaves?
