You can find more of Sunshine’s yo-yo quilts in this amazing Flickr set. She also has another quilt set in Flickr and adds that her most popular quilt on Flickr is this one (followed by this one!). Wow!

That sure looks like a lot of work making each yo-yo and then sewing them all together! I’m sure it helps cheer your friend looking at it and knowing how much love went into it…Hope she wins the battle.
That is gorgeous!!!
I love the yo-yo’s! They look great!
Oh my gosh, when I think about the time that went into this… Your friend is lucky to have you and I hope she successfully battles her cancer!
Wow! What a talented lady!!! Her mini hex quilt and bubble gum pink quilt are absolutely stunning!!!
I really have no idea what a Yo-Yo is, but it sure looks fun!
She has made so many beautiful quilts…her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren will enjoy these for years and years to come! Such talent!
How darling. I’m sure you’re friend will feel special (and warm) when you give her this quilit.
I use cottage cheese lids as templates to make my yo-yos!
Wow – I bought a yo-yo maker from Dritz. It’s a lot of fun but, man it takes a while to get many of them done. I was only trying to make 65 of them. I hope your friend beats her cancer this time.
Great idea for yoyos! Must take a long time though.

Wow! It is so incredible!
What an incredible gift. I was wondering what a yo-yo quilt would look like.
I like how the she made squares of different color yoyos. It gives it such a quilting feel.
I recently bought several plastic bags full of yo-yos at a yard sale! This is a good idea for them!
That quilt is GEORGEOUS!! I wish I had the patients to make something that beautiful….
Wow, this is amazing!!! So lively and fresh.. what a great design idea, yo-yos look like a fun new thing to try!
Lovely and fun too!
Wow! that looks like a lot of work. Beautiful!
yo-yos!!!! Oh, how I LOVEE yo-yos!!! I’ve been making a few here & there just cause they are so pretty. I’d LOVE to make a whole yo-yo quilt! what a great take-along project!!
I adore yo-yos. what is it about those little circles of fabric that are so addicting? Especially when someone else makes them into something as wonderful as a quilt. One of the members of my quilt guild made a full size quilt of nothing but yo-yos. I believe the final count was more than 1300 yo-yos. But who’s counting?
Oh goodness – the yo-yo quilt is lovely, and I hope your friend recovers.
The hexagon quilts are also just gorgeous. I can’t imagine how long it must have taken to make them.
Aww, that’s so great that you gave hat to your friend, I bet that will really cheer her up!
That’s so wonderful you gave this to your friend, I know she’ll appreciate it! I can’t even begin to imagine how much time this would have taken! Having to sew each of the individual yo-yo’s, then sew them all together, whooo it makes me sweat just thinking about it! GREAT JOB though!
I purchased a sewing kit from an auction a few years ago. I didn’t know until the auction was over that it was full of pre-cut and some stitched yo-yo’s. I’m going to have to dig that out and see what I can do with it now that I’m learning to quilt.
That quilt is so pretty! I really love the mini-hex quilt too.
I hope the quilt was good therapy for both. It was obviously made with a lot of love.
Oh I love yo-yo’s! That quilt is awesome!
I love yo yo’s. One of my first project as a child was making yo yo’s for my mom.
Beautiful – I’m sure your friend will be touched.
Wow, what an amazing piece of work!
Wow! What amazing work!
Great colours, the yo-yos are gorgeous! Very special gift.
wow, that must have taken ages to do! hope her poor friend gets better soon!
Oh wow! Yo -yo’s are something I want to try someday but always get so intimidated…
This is awesome
Wow! I’ve yet to try yoyos
Totally cute! I’m addicted to my Clover yoyo maker, but I haven’t sewn them together yet–I better get to work!
Amazing! I’m sure you’re friend was thrilled to receive this beautiful quilt. I’m so impressed with how the yo-yo’s ae joined together. Great job.
Love it LOVE IT!!! Sunshine did a great job with color arrangement. My grama makes yo-yos and has as long as I can remember. She’s make beautful bedspreads and all sorts of things from them.
Beautiful…that took a lot of work!
Wow! This must have taken her quite awhile!
