I love the pet ideas! Some of my family members are hard to shop for but
this should do it! They all have pets! Thanks for even more great ideas!!

i think we’ll have to make the doggie treats for all the friendly pets in our neighborhood…we love giving treats, and they sound great!
I don’t have any pets, but I would want to make one of those dog beds in a fun fabric if I had one.
Oooh, how fun! Santa, I want that little black pug. I’ve been working on a doggie leash using Anna Maria Horner’s pattern at http://annamariahorner.blogspot.com/2006/10/strapping-young-lab.html.
Please put my name in the hat! Love the pet toy ideas! Sometimes we forget our furry friends.

My in-laws just adopted a dog – I have a feeling some of these ideas will come in handy for our newest family member’s first Christmas!
I love the collar idea! They are so cute and look so easy to do!
Ohh, thanks for the tutorial on the dog bed. I’ve priced them in the stores and just said, “No way.” And the dog collar? We are always buying new ones, I just may have to make one myself and save a few bucks.
I love the dog collar idea!! My mother in law would love to have that for her cutie pie.
I don’t have any pets, but I sure would love a gift card!
cute fabric
I think I’ll try the dog collar for my sister. Thanks for the tutorials!
Thanks, especially, for the dog treat link. I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me before that I could make them, rather than try to figure out what scary things go into the store bought variety!
not a big “pet lover” but these are cute ideas!
These are some adorable ideas! I am doing the easy pet bed tutorial today! My little yorkies need a bed makeover on their bed in my studio! I have I said how much I loooooove the Handmade Holidays!! Thanks so much!

Oooh, this is the best prize yet! I can think of a few people who would appreciate the recycled dog collar or the dog bed this year. I love those pet collars! So cute. And I’m copying the recipe for the peanut butter dog treats right now!
The fleece pet bed with a snap blanket is a great idea. It’s not unusual to find my dog inside my duvet cover, so I think he would really like that kind of bed — if only I could get him out of my bed!

Today’s ideas are so timely. My niece just got a puppy to keep her other dog happy.
The dog pictured in the dog bed tutorial looks like her puppy, but all grown up. Too cute!!!
I’m definitely trying the dog cookies and the dog collar. Thanks for all the super ideas.

I love your blog and your holiday crafting ideas! I’m so inspired to craft!
Thanks, again, for great ideas.
Oh! These are great! We are thinking about getting the two year old a puppy for Christmas.
I like the idea of making dog collars. I wonder if anyone has a pattern for a collar that is adjustible?
But what about the fish, bird, and reptile owners?
I love the little fishie cat toy…and I love the recycled dog collar. That would make a very thoughtful and very environmentally sound gift for a lucky pet. I love the octopus fabric as well!!!

A dog bed is definitely on my list.
After seeing the fleece beds maybe I can switch that from make to buy.

I love the bed and the collars! Thanks for thinking of everyone!
The Annies sweatshop fleece beds picture looks like a dog version of princess and the pea – Cute!
I like making doggie goodies and can’t wait to try this one. It looks a lot less complicated that the one I use.
The hard part is going to be keeping my two year old from eating the puppy’s “cookies”.
I think my kitty would love Annie’s sweatshop bed. He loves to snuggle under a blanket.
Great topic today! I love that the four-footed are not forgotten on the holiday wish list. The cat toys are really funny!
Meg’s choice of fabric is beautiful!
Someone just sent me a link to this place and this looks awesome! Our neighbors have dogs. I think I shall make some of these for them!
The dogs will be happy with their treats that I intend to make! Thanks for all these great ideas! I’m having a great time…
The dog collar is a great idea! I think I’ll make a Christmas one out of the old collar I have laying around.
I read your peanut butter dog treat recipe and immediately reached for my jar of peanut butter hear on my desk. Eating it now, with a fork, no less. Hmm…wonder what comment that might say about me? Woof! I’m making dog treats for my pooch this weekend! Thanks!
The biscuit recipe looks easy. I think I will try these out later today.
Now I can even include the dog on our handmade Christmas list!
ok…I’m thinking that those fleece blanket pet beds would be great for toddler sleeping bags (with a bit of re-measuring). I think I’ve found a new project to create!
That dog collar looks perfect for “Guido”–my sister’s dog!

I know two little white dogs that will be getting new beds for Christmas! I have been saving that Heather Ross fabric, but now I know what I will use it for!

This is right up my alley! I love my baby and I just have to make him a cute bed for Christmas. Thank you so much for all these creative ideas! You artists are AMAZING!
Interesting gift ideas! I’m hoping that you do a post on teacher gifts, or gifts for sporty people. My daughter is at an adaptive preschool and I have ideas for the music therapist / teacher thanks to the “gifts for music lovers” post but I am completely stuck on what to give the male gym teacher.
My sister is soooo in love with her puppy – these would make great gifts for her. The hard part will be deciding – they are all adorable!

LOVE THESE IDEAS!! They will definitely come in handy for all my friends this holiday season.
I can’t believe I don’t have our dog on my Christmas List. I am thinking the recycled collar might be perfect for her as her old one is a bit worn.
The dog bed would be a great gift for my in-laws dogs. They need a space of their own in their new house.
The dog collars look great! Much prettier than most store-bought collars.
This is great. I always try to remember my childless friends’ pets during the holidays as their pets are their babies and they always remember my human baby.
the cat toys and dog collars would be great items to whip up for holiday craft fairs at your local church or school. easy to do, fun to buy & give, what more can you ask for?
My mother-in-law would love the dog bed for her dog I may have to make that for her.
I LOVE the cat toy patterns! I am making them this year for my cat, he is gonna flip out! Can a cat OD on catnip????

I think I will have to make that dog bed for my DD’s stuffed dog. We don’t have any animals due to allergies and she loves her stuffed dog just as much as a real one!
Will be trying the peanut butter dog treats as soon as I get a chance. Our Dobie is costing me a fortune in treats – he only wants the pricey ones. My cats are in need of some new toys too. Thanks for the ideas.
Recycled collar & peanut butter dog treats — can’t wait to make both! Great tutorials, thanks for sharing

The bed’s by Annie are amazing. I just have to decide which color!
The handmade holidays gift ideas have been so inspiring. I am definitely making the peanut butter treats and the bed as well. So, our dog friends will sleep well with full tummies on a comfortable bed. Isn’t that what the holidays are all about?! Thank you
how do you all find such wonderful things? I seriously can’t get enough of this website and checking in everyday!
LOVE the doggie bed! I think that would look much better in our living room than a smooshed down foldbable kids couch, which my boxer pup has taken over!
Cute ideas – but you definitely need more kitty-geared projects. You know how us crafters love our kittehs!
Those peanut butter treats look good! And that little white dog is my dog’s twin.
Thanks again for all the ideas…
I love the dog bed! I bought some fabric about one month ago to make one and still have not got to it. Now I have a good reason to get it made. And a great pattern. Thanks bunches!

)
Ooooh, thank you!!! Our new puppy needs a bed of her own, perhaps then she’ll stay off my pillow!
Too cute. Thanks for the link on the eco-friendly dog beds. I will definitely check those out.
Wow, how awesome would it be to win 20 bucks to use on Sew, Mama, Sew! It would be tough to narrow it down to 20 bucks, but I sure would love to try!
Great ideas, I think the cats and the dog will all be getting new collars, toys for the cats and treats for the dog. Now what to get for the rabbit and lizards ?.. Hmmmmm
Yes, my best friend, Claire, deserves those peanut butter treats and she just happens to be a dog. really.
My cat is getting the toys for Christmas! Might make some for my mom for her cat too!
the pet collar idea is verrrrry interesting for when i finally get myself a dog. i don’t know that anyone else needs one right now. just me.
also, for the record, i have the fabric on the right (brown with flowers) except mine is on a white background, which is very old-time-nightgown-ish.
Such cute ideas! I love this whole month of gifts, and these are all good ones! I hate lists of gifts that include so many that are way too expensive or just weird or too – specific, for lack of a better word. Not applicable to everyone. This is all so customizable – specific in a great way! My parents just bought a puppy, so he may be getting his own gift this year…
I think the cat will be getting a nice pressie this Xmas!
Never enough treats or Pillows for my two boys!!
I love the collar! I bet it would work for cats too!
This is my favorite list yet! Very cute ideas…wonderful gifts for so many on my list.
I was just thinking yesterday, “What can I make the family pets for Christmas?” PURRR-fect!
I don’t have a pet or know somebody that particularly loves theirs…but I would love to win!
Great ideas! My puppies would love a new bed!
Great link to Annie’s Sweatshop, I love her idea of adding a blankie to the dog pillows.
Thanks so much for all the awesome ideas this week!
I do not have a dog. But some of my friend have… These will be good ideas for me
My two sweet boys (pointer-terrorist mix)will be looking good in new collars! And loving those peanut butter treats!! I can’t tell you often enough how much I love this blog!! Keep up the GREAT work!
Those are awesome ideas for pets! My doggie would love a new cute collar!! and maybe even a new bed….
My cat might get that dog-sized bed for Christmas. He’s a huge beast of a thing and is way oversized for normal cat beds. I’m pretty sure that my stitches wouldn’t hold up to the wear and tear that either one of the cats would put on a toy though, so I’ll just stick to buying them at the store.
My niece just adopted her first dog! Thanks for the gift ideas! I’ll have to try some!
Precisely what every dog needs!
My Christmas present this year is a dog, and I’ve been searching for some great dog bed and collar tutorials! Thanks!
Can’t wait to try making the doggie treats!
Dog bed, very tempting!
My pretty girl would love any of these — but I find making a dog bed large enough for her is cost prohibitive!
That cat toy is perfect for scraps of fabric!
This is great, especially since I am NOT a pet person buy am buying/making gifts for family members who are! Thanks.
Love it all!
I think I know what my parents’ doggie will be getting this year! I also would like to use a smaller variation of the collar for my sister’s kitty
I am making that dog cookie for the all my friend’s poochs. Fact!
My Lola will love a new collar!
i might have to make those dog treats for a friend of ours that just got a little puppy of their own!
Everything is so cute! I really love the dog bed and think I may have to make one for my little Rat Terrier, I think she’d love it!
I’d love to be in the drawing for a gift certificate!
Thank you for the great tutorials!
kg
What great ideas! Thanks for including the link to the dog treat recipe. My parents have a well-loved yellow lab who would definitely enjoy a special snack.
Cute collar idea!
I am definately making those doggy cookies today! Great idea. Actually I think I would like to make all of the pet items…
The treats would be the perfect gift for our friends that raise assistance dogs with us. Our puppies are allowed few treats, but peanut butter is one of them! A great motivater!
I’m definetley making a batch of those dog treats! Thank you!
I think my new doggy need a x-mas cover for his bed.
