I love this pyramid shaped door stop! Once the weather gets warm in the midwest and we can open our windows, I will need a couple of these to keep the doors from slamming shut.
Elizabeth’s nine patch doorstop tutorial is great and easy to follow! I made one for my mother last year and would like to make this again sometime.

Very cute door stop… and it only uses a fat eighth of fabric. Had to look at the tutorial to see what she used to fill it with… sand! Keep those great fat quarter projects coming!

How cute! – Here in the desert we have a cooling system on our houses. We call them swap coolers – you have to vent your home for them to work properly. So we usually crack the door open with a shoe. I think for this summer, I just might have to have one of these door stops. What a great idea. Thanks

We have a great breeze in our apartment when we open the windows, but it freaks the dog out because sometimes the doors slam shut. This is exactly what I need before spring rolls around and we start opening our windows again!

this could definitely be put to good use in our house! between an active puppy and the gusts of wind that come through in the summertime, this would be the perfect solution to keeping the door open… as long as the dog doesn’t think it’s his new favorite toy

I was looking for stash busting, easy projects for my just-learning-not-quite-nine-year-old. This is perfect and practical and will move us away from the excessive number of napkins and placemats we have developed!

That will come in handy this summer to prop open the door to the pool. I have tried a can of peaches with pretty cellophane on it ( man it hurts if you kick it) and an old-fashioned wedge, but this is adorable.

This is so great! I am needing to make a doorstop for our bedroom door as it swings half shut without one. I was just thinking the shoes keeping it open weren’t very pleasing to the eye and I should try to make something! And tada! here’s a very cute tutorial. Thank you. I’ll get right on it.

oh darn! The doorstop tutorial isn’t available any longer. It says the blog has been removed…. it’s such a cute lil thing too! Oh well, I’m sure there will be lots more fun stuff for me to play with during the rest of the month of fat quarters.
I’m a FQholic……….last count I had over 450 of the little buggers ( I think they breed lol) and just couldn’t bear to cut into any of them… but I’m getting better… I’ve used a few this year so far and it wasn’t near as painful as I thought it would be…. plus….it makes room to buy MORE fat quarters!! woo hoo

Why has the tutorial for the pyramid door stop been disabled? Is there any way I can get this tutorial?
Oh no, the tutorial is no longer available. Does anyone happen to have the dimensions to the triangle and the square base?
The blog was removed because Rachael was tragically affected by the Bushfires in Australia recently. I had a copy of the tutorial and have temporarily posted a copy on my blog. I will of course remove it as and when she reposts it. My thoughts are with her and her family at this time.
