October 27 Scrap Buster ~ Fabric Wreaths

Patchwork Wreath by Jennifer, JCasa
Jennifer writes that this particular wreath is “…Second generation recycling, made from a vintage quilt top I found hidden away in a dusty chest of drawers at an antique shop in the Amish area not far from here; I am pretty certain most of the scraps were once clothing.” Jennifer has a free tutorial at JCasa to show you how to make this patchwork wreath.

My mom and I made similar wreaths in the 70′s- I love this update!
I remember my mom having one just like this!
Very cute & I’ll bet it would be wonderful with christmas themed prints!!
I haven’t made this wreath, but I’ve made a bunch where you just tie old scraps of ribbon on all the way around for a fun look–you can go with a color scheme, or just go for scrappy goodness…whatever suits you (or your scrap basket!). Thanks for a fun month filled with lots of good ideas!
Really cute project – and your tutorial is a hoot!
Lovely!!!
How cute! Thanks for the great idea and tutorial!
Hmmmm….I like the idea of a more 3-D quilting project. Thank you
I can’t wait to give this one a try.
These are the times where I miss living in Pennsylvania… an antique Amish shop? How I wish there was something like that around here! Adorable wreath.
