Introducing ~ Amy
From Beth: Amy was excited to try her hand at the Schoolhouse Tunic from Sew Liberated and she made a lovely version. Her pattern review is coming up next, but first take a few minutes to look at Amy’s Vintage Fern blog. She’s also having an end-of-the-year sale in her shop so be sure to look around!
From Amy: Ever since I was little I have always had to be doing something crafty. I learned how to sew at about 11 or 12 years old, sewing things here and there. It wasn’t really until about 3 years ago that I really got into sewing, as soon as I quit my full time job (as a cake decorator) to be a stay at home Mom; I needed something to keep me busy. I started making things for myself and people would tell me I needed to sell them. So I started making things to sell and now that and taking care of my three beautiful daughters keeps me super busy, but I love it! My etsy shop is at www.vintagefern.etsy.com and I blog at www.vintagefern.blogspot.com.

Wow! I think we must have parallel lives!! I am a part-time architect that also has my own cake decorating/baking co. on the side! I love to sew and also learned around 11 or 12 years of age! I’ve always needed to have something crafty to work on and started sewing about a year ago for my two little girls (ages 3 and 1)!! I absolutely love to sew for them and just ordered my first pattern to sew for myself! Can’t wait to read your review!!
Howdy Amy.
