Introduction ~ Katie

Katie was brought up surrounded by every craft imaginable, including quilting, but didn’t start sewing till 5 years ago. Now no day is complete unless at least two pieces of fabric are sewn together. Katie currently teaches quilting classes in Seattle that focus on improvisational piecing, finding your own process, and the importance of value in quilt design.

   I have to say, it is very inspiring to me that someone who only started sewing 5 years ago can now be at the level of expertise that she is teaching classes! Wow!

    Hello Katie! Thanks for the Zipper tutorial, I’ve been a bit spooked by zippers but envelope back pillows are too soggy for the treatment they get by my menfolk
