This was my first attempt at quilting - it was a lot of fun! The tutorial was easy to follow and I turned my mini quilt into a pillow. I think I have found a new thing to enjoy doing, thanks!

Just wanted to tell you that I'm sewing along too! I am working with Amy Butler's Daisy Chain fabrics, which I will probably end up making into individual placemats, one for each quilt block design. Here's the link to the post where I shared my progress: http://terrisnotebook.wordpress.com/2010/04/11/patchwork-arrangements/

Well, I couldn't imagine what in the world I would do with a 16" mini quilt so I shrunk these down to give a 9" finished square. I made both "triangles" and "diamonds." The solid fabric is a corduroy and I really love the way the cords arranged themselves in the diamond pattern.

These are only quilt squares numbers 6 and 7 for me, so be forgiving when you view them. ;)

Fun contest! I love that the weekly deadline leaves little room for procrastination! :)

I saw some triangle paper at a quilt show, they looked like they'd be easy. Anyone try them?
