What a cute bag. For those that have made this is the flap secure? What I mean is will your small stuff (like a lipstick) spill out the edge if the bag is turned over?

I love Keyka Lou Patterns. I have made the half moon hand bag many times and always loe it.

Like Erin said, I have made this bag larger before by increasing the print preferences.

I would definitely recomend Keyka Lou!

Keyka Lou Patterns are the best!

Meera - you can simply leave an opening in the lining rather than where the lining meets the outside, just make sure it's a large enough opening to install a magnetic snap if necessary.

Jessica - I've done that and it works great. Sometimes you can even enlarge it on your printer with your print settings. Usually 110%-115% is perfect to make the purses into totes :)

I love Keyka Lou patterns and have most of them. I was hooked after the first pattern! The detail, clarity and COLOR photos guide the you through the process perfectly! She also has support tutorials that go into detail about slip stitching, dart making etc. I have shown her designs as my favorite quilt shop and they are so impressed with her attention to detail. I stick with her patterns because I can trust that what I am getting in my download is a well thought out and perfectly displayed pattern!

I have been buying Keyka Lou patterns for sometime now and find each of them to be well thought out and easy to use. My sewn items always live up to my expectations. I look forward to each of their new patterns.

Thanks for the great review. I bought a similar pattern that is of a clutch. You can even say that this bag is the same clutch except it's bigger I guess. It was a nightmare to sew close the front opening of the clutch because you have to hand sew the opening. The process was very long and tedious. I would like to know if there is the same problem in this pattern?
