Fa La La La Contributor Interview ~ Constança
Constança’s Saidos da Concha blog is always a favorite visit. She’s an amazing sewist, and another talented contributor to Fa la la la Felt: 45 Handmade Holiday Decorations. Constança has some fun, holiday-related projects on her blog for you to enjoy.
Sew,Mama,Sew!: What project(s) do you have in the book?
Constança: I’ve got three projects in the book: the Holiday Hearts, the Fa La La La Leaves Garland and the Apple & Pear ornaments.
SMS: What do you like about working with felt? Do you work with felt a lot?
Constança: I love using felt for winter projects because it’s so nice and comfortable to work with. And, because you don’t have to worry about finishing the edges, it’s easy and quick too!

Ornaments from a tutorial on Constança’s blog.
SMS: Do you have any Christmas or holiday-related tutorials on your own site you’d like to share?
Constança: I have a tutorial on making other felt Christmas ornaments right here.
SMS: How about a must-do holiday project or gift that you return to, year after year?
Constança: Every year I try to make my own Christmas cards and send them to my friends in the beginning of December. Two years ago I made the cars but there was a problem in the post and they were only received in August 2009!

More of Constança’s pretty ornaments.
SMS: Would you like to share a favorite memory related to your holiday crafting or family traditions?
Constança: My mother always makes a special Christmas breakfast with pancakes, freshly squeezed orange juice, cake and lots of chocolates and then we open the presents starting with the youngest person and ending with the eldest.

Comment on any Christmas in July post this week for your chance to win a copy of Fa la la la Felt: 45 Handmade Holiday Decorations or a great big bundle of beautiful felt!
