August 10 ~ Back to School Pattern: Miss Madeline Dress

The Handmade Dress Miss Madeline Pattern by Faith, Fresh Lemons
Faith not only makes gorgeous quilts, but also sews pretty little dresses for her daughter. She writes, “I loved this pattern. It was extremely easy to make and had excellent directions. It only took a few hours and I’d highly recommend it to even beginners. I shortened it about 4 inches (per my daughter’s request) but I plan to just add the matching cherry fabric as a double hem to the bottom as she gets taller.” The Miss Madeline Dress pattern is offered in two size ranges, 6M – 4yr and 5yr – 10yr and is a PDF pattern you can purchase and download right away!
From the pattern package:
This is sweet little peasant style dress with options for a contrasting waistband or apron. There are instructions for making an apron or you can use up your stash of vintage hankies or tea towels! What a beautiful way to use Grandmas hankies! Free embroidery design included!

This is too cute and looks easy enough for me to do! (I still consider myself a newbie sewer and haven’t made any clothes for my little girl yet!)
What a sweet dress! This is an adorable pattern.
This is such a cute dress. I love the idea of adding fabric to the hem as she gets taller.
Cute! Good thought for making it longer. My kids seem to stay about the same size around while getting taller.
What a lovely, simple dress. I’d love to make one for my girls.
Adorable! I love it!
This dress looks delightful… especially with the charming details that can be added. I would love to make this for my daughter.
This dress is adorable and would be perfect for my friend’s little girl. My friend is completely swamped these days, and it would be so awesome to make this for her — especially since she got some fabric for making her a dress that she probably will never get around to (the Oliver + S Ice Cream Social dress). This would work out so much better!
This is such a cute dress!
