Nikki learned a few things while sewing the Little Smarty Pants pattern. She writes, “This is a pattern I will make again and again. Not only are there 9 sizes and 2 styles to choose from, but the little details like the belt loops, side pockets and clever turn-ups really make the finished item look great. I plan to make many more and want to try out the capri pants version for my daughter too.” We agree that this is another great, unisex pattern and it’s one that would be perfect for those warmer school days.

Fun and comfortable pull-on pants with a great fit in 2 different lengths. Capri length pants are simple to sew and Bermuda length shorts have details such as front pockets, tabs or belt loops on waistband and patch pockets on the back.

this pattern does make very cute shorts. it seems like i’m always looking for cute shorts that are not super short for my two year old daughter. i’m just getting into sewing on my own, and i would love to try making shorts for her with this pattern.

I love that the Favorite Things patterns come with such a wide size-range! I have four girls who range in size from 5-12, plus a little boy who is wearing about a 12m size. How perfect is this pattern? Pants for everyone in the fall, shorts in the spring! If I don’t win it, I’ll buy it.
