Even though Fall is already here in the US, we want to highlight some of this summer’s projects we spotted in our Sew Mama, Sew! photo pool. With over 6,000 members, we encourage you to post your latest project or take a tour. You’re bound to be inspired and motivated to create!
The Amy Bag by Sarah, Hands Full Creations
Sarah used an awesome, 1970′s vintage fabric to create her colorful bag which can be worn with just about anything. You can find many more of her cute yet functional designs and fashions in her Etsy shop.
Maternity Shirt by Venus, Happy Find
Venus is gorgeous in her maternity shirt which she also designed herself. She wrote a tutorial for the shirt with instructions to help you make it into a comfortable dress as well!
Summerhouse Seat Cushion by Liz, Paper Pie
Liz made this colorful little cushion using all 40 prints from her own fabric collection, Sugar Pop. She used Alicia Paulson’s Summerhouse Seat Cushion pattern, and we agree with Liz that we love seeing all her fabrics sitting together in tiny little patches!
Bubble Dress sewn by Sarah
Sarah made this Oliver + S Bubble Dress for her daughter in a size 4. Her choice of fabric turns this dress into the perfect outfit for not only a playground, but for any outing.
Bucket Bag sewn by Erin Erickson
Erin took her sewing machine on vacation with her just so she could sew this bag! The pattern she used is the new Bucket Bag by Keyka Lou Patterns, and her stunning choice of fabric is Amy Butler Love.
Lemon Popover Dress sewn by Kristin, Skirt As Top
Kristin made this seersucker sundress for her 2 year old using the Oliver + S free pattern. She modified the pattern a bit by making it slightly more a-line and adding patch pockets to the front.
Snow Drops Silk Room Shoes by Daria, La La Shoes
As a trained industrial designer, Daria always makes her own patterns and uses all natural materials. She’s a big fan of simple, clear, functional and ergonomically correct designs which you can clearly see in these beautifully crafted room shoes.

Well, Spring has just sprung here in the Antipodes (New Zealand), so all Summer projects are more than welcome! I just loved those silk shoes!
