I love that crayon pinecone craft! That brings back some great memories of making those wax paper window hangings where you would shave crayons in between wax paper and then iron them together. How fun!

Thanks for the tutorial for the initial ornament! I’m putting up my first tree this year for my son’s first christmas and would love to put our initials on the tree. It could even start a family tradition where for ever baby’s first xmas I could make them an initial ornament.

As a teacher I’m always looking for new projects. I think that my kinders can make the garland and microwaving the crayons, which I probably have thousands of, is much safer than in a tin can on the stove.

I love the pinecones! Last year we made bird feeders out of them. Just hot glue or tie a loop of string to the bottom of the cone, spread on some peanut butter and then roll it in bird seed. Hand it up outside your window on a tree branch and see how many birds come along to enjoy them!

I was so tempted today to go out and buy some cheap-o craft kits to do with the kids, but I talked myself down…so glad I did! I knew you’d have some great ideas for me. The paper house prints from the other day, the tree template from today, and the wax cones! Genius! We’re gonna have so much fun!!
