Green Grocery Bag Challenge ~ Tutorials and Inspiration

Last month we told you about The Green Grocery Bag Challenge, a project to encourage people to wrap their holiday gifts in reusable cloth bags. We’re thrilled that so many of you have responded positively to this challenge. Many people have written about it on their blogs and joined us on Facebook. I’ve received emails telling me about how whole families are on board. Lots of people have shared their links to bag tutorials and tips for wrapping. I really like Chelsea at Yarngeek’s tutorial–it’s full of photos and so easy to follow! I might have to put down my Practical Bag pattern (grand revival) and try one of these out!

What a great campaign, especially this time of year when we tend to throw away too much wrapping paper. I love the variety of projects offered here! Thanks so much for including my simple tote tutorial in this project! It really is fun to make and easy to customize or embellish.
I spread the word about this great challenge today. I found a rice bag for “Little Angel” White Rice and transformed it using festive fabric into a reusable Christmas tote.
