Introducing ~ Aunt Spicy
From Beth: Aunt Spicy is up next with a heart pillow tutorial just in time for you two whip up one or two or more for Valentine’s Day (or any day!). Check out her Aunt Spicy blog to enjoy her beautiful sewing projects, enjoy her introduction and check back soon for her tutorial.
From Aunt Spicy: When my niece was very young she nicknamed me “Aunt Spicy” after eating all the “spicy” Altoids in my bag. Around the same time I was given my grandmother’s sewing machine and some vintage fabric… And so began my adventures as a reluctant crafter. During the day I wear a suit, but dabble in sewing at night; it’s my alter ego. And sewing lets me justify my fabric addiction! I just adore colors and patterns and mixing and matching (or not matching) different fabrics. I still listen to 80′s punk, am just as comfortable in Los Angeles as in New York as in London, and I have a thing for Swiss-Alp-kitsch.

I love that phrase, “reluctant crafter.” I’m only reluctant because I lose sleep when I sew!
