Introducing ~ Samantha
Samantha is our second Summer Sewing contributor who does so many things so very well! She has a sewing pattern company Little Comet Tails, and sells her print patterns via Amazon. Samantha has three children and blogs at making it little by little where she often shares free patterns and tutorials. She also posts a little of her wonderful photography (her other “obsession!”) every day. She’s here with a free Summer Sewing pattern for you, next!
From Samantha: I learned to sew early on, always tweaking and “reinventing the wheel” on whatever I made. As a child, my mother sewed most of our everyday clothes and I cherish to this day my “Cabbage Patch” doll was loving handcrafted entirely by her. As a teen, I saw it as a creative outlet, sewing up dresses and unique clothes that I designed to fit me, all the while dreaming of being a fashion designer.
Life took me on a bit of a whirlwind through my college years, getting a “real” job and getting married, but once I had my first son sewing once again became the forefront of my everyday, and the tweaking grew in to the creation of patterns that it turned out other people wanted. Little Comet Tails came about as an outlet for me to be creative while making some extra money as a full time stay at home/homeschooling mom to my now three beautiful children.
