So cute! I love embroidery!
I love embroidery and began with cross-stitching when I was 10 and worked up to really large cross stitch projects and historically-inspired samplers as an adult. But when I became a mama, I found I didn’t have as much time for complicated projects and discovered embroidering simpler motifs on useful objects — napkins, totes, t-shirts, etc. — and it is so satisfying and fun! Thanks for this great giveaway!
I’ve just started playing around with embroidery and am having a lot of fun with it. These books look so inspirational.
I have been embroidering since I was little. I just finished a project I embroidered 30 years ago and it makes me want to get back into it.

When I was 5 yrs old, my grandmother taught me to sew and embroider Barbie clothing and I haven’t stopped. I have grown past the Barbie stage but embroidery has stayed with me. Up until the Doodle Stitching book came out, I was very much stuck in the “I need a pattern!” mode. How things have changed since I bought her book! Learning to doodle was a challenge for me and I like to think that I now have the hang of it as well as taken it one step further into hidden message doodling. I LOVE DOODLES!
would LOVE to win this prize! huge fan of the book, and have (on two occasions now) returned it late to the library! haha…

Oh how fun…I love to embroidery, but really need some practice. I am participating in a block of the month that is working on wool felt and we are learning lots of new stitches. This would be so much fun to have.
Thank you!!!!!
I have just recently tried embroidery, and I loved it. I am a knitter, so I like having small, portable projects. Embroidery is just as relaxing as knitting– if not more since there is less counting and deciphering of patterns! Both of my children have also caught the embroidery bug.
I’ve always wanted try out the techniques from Aimee Ray’s books. I am new to quilting
& haven’t attempted embroidery yet. What a great giveaway!
A friend of mine had these books, and they looked like a wonderful way to start learning embroidery, which is something I’ve been wanting to do for a really long time. Thanks for the giveaway!
I fell in love with embroidery when I was 7 or 8 years old, and spent a lot of hot, Arizona summers inside, embroidering flowers and ladybugs and mushrooms, while sipping a cold root beer. I haven’t done a project in a while, but these books make me want to start one!
I’m new to embroidery so these books look fabulous! Thanks for offering a giveaway.

How fun, what a great way to add that special touch to your projects!
I am new to sewing and would love to learn embroidery to add something extra to my projects.
I do so love embroidery and I am an Aimee Ray fan. Her designs are so fun and whimsical. I love the little gnomes she makes. They’re just precious.
I love sewing and I love embroidery! Each has it’s place in my heart, but only the embroidery makes it with me to the bench at the playground!
Emroidery has a long history in my family. I have tea towels embroidered by my great grandmother and handkerchiefs embroidered by my grandma while she waited for my grandfather to come home from the Pacific Theater. In the 70s and 80s, my mom embroidered jean jackets for my sisters and I. They featured our second- and third- favorite animals above the breast pockets (a mammoth and polar bear with green eyes decorate mine) as well as a large design of our favoriate animal across the entire back (stegosaurus!!). Each also has our name in script above our most favorite animal. Last year, I followed in their footsteps by learning to sew my own wedding dress, and this year, I’d like to take up embroidery. It makes me feel closer to the matriarchs of my family!
Beautiful books! I cant wait to see what’s inside them! I would love to start embroidering again. Lovely!
The Doodle Stitches are adorable. I’d love to try my hand at it. Thanks for the PDF.
Most of the embroidery I do is sachiko because I couldn’t draw my way out of a paper bag. 400 motifs? Yes, please. I’m off to make some vegetables now. Farmers market is only three days away.
I’m new to embroidery but already have Aimee’s first book because I’d like to get my 8-year-old daughter’s doodles in stitches. Since she’s a special needs child (Aspergers and Anxiety Disorder), I think the second book with CD would help her to render her own drawings in stitches as well. She recently started straight hand sewing, which I think helps minimize anxiety and provides comfort. I know it does me! Thanks for the drawing opportunity!
I. Would. LOVE. This. Book!! This is what I’ve been looking for! Reminds me of the embroidery my mom used to do.
After recently enjoying applique, doodle stitching looks like a my newest”must”!
I’ve been looking at Aimee Ray’s books and trying to decide which one to get – I really want to try out some embroidery in this fun style to make some pretty things to hang around the house and to give me some sewing to do while relaxing on the sofa, rather than sitting at the machine. Thanks for a great chance to win some fab books!

I started my first ever embroidering project with a pattern that my boyfriend’s mom gave from the 50’s-70 that her mom collected! I haven’t really decided what it is yet, but it might just be a handkerchief.. must find a way to display it once it’s finished
I absolutely love doing it and I can’t wait to be better!
This brings back memories of when I first learned how to embroider with my Mom back in the day! In the 70’s we embroidered our jeans with anything and everything we loved…lots of “peace” signs baby!

I love embroidery–I just wish that I’d make more time to do it. Honestly, of all of my textile loves, it’s the most rewarding–it’s all hand-crafted, all me, and no matter how little I do on a project in one setting, I feel like I’m getting somewhere (so not true with crochet
).

Who wouldn’t love those! My favorite embroidery project was a pair of jeans that I embroidered for camping. Things like a stick with a marshmallow on it, a wood sign pointing the way to things like the lake, the trail, um, the winery. Oh, and I put animal tracks up the leg as if a critter had climbed up my leg. Love those jeans!
Love Embroidery! , Need a little help with some things but I think I am getting it down and those books would be amazing to have ! I have had them in my Amazon wish list for some time now =)
Love! Have been embroidering lately, so this would be so perfect! Thanks!

I love hand embroidery, it reminds me of my great aunt who had all things hand made in her house.
It’s so nice to see that people are doing embroidery again. There was a time when I thought it would become a lost art, but now it is gaining popularity due to sites and books like this. I have been doing embroidery since I was a child, since I grew up in a British family. I’d love to win the book, and I will also try the veggies on the pdf. I often do some embroidery on my quilts to give them a bit of extra interest.
This mama needs to get some fresh and fun projects started this summer! These would be just the thing to get me rolling.

I haven’t embroidered anything in years. I learned back in seventh grade, and I remember stitching a Sunbonnet Sue. Too cutesy for my taste. These designs are very fresh and not cutesy at all. I love to doodle and doodle stitching sounds like it would be fun and relaxing.
Love adding a special touch of embroidery to projects. These books would be a great addition to my collection.
This looks like a wonderful duo of books – i’m always looking for something portable to work on while I wait for my children at their various activities.

Embroidery in my past has been a large, long commitment of time- the projects seemed so daunting. These seem pretty quick and easy…definitely a must in a three-kiddo world!
I have never emroidered anything but I’d love to learn how!
What a wonderful book. I’d love to win one myself. I might even have to buy a 2nd one for my son’s girlfriend who loves doing embroidery and cross stitching as well. In my younger years I always had a needle in my hand and an embroidery hoop in my other. My Mom taught me to embroider when I was probably about 8 yrs old and I have loved it ever since that time. I haven’t done any for a few years now but since all my boys have grown now and left home I’d love to have something like this to do when I have buried my sewing machine with stuff being tossed onto the table (everyone does this…..right? LOL) and want to do something with my hands. LOL THIS would be perfect.

I do many crafts, but embroidery is my favorite by far. It’s the cheapest, quickest, and easiest craft I do, and I love being able to pretty things up with little more than a needle and some floss. I’ve embroidered tea towels, hair clips, an apron, a skirt, a tote bag, and much more. I’ve been lusting after the Doodle Stitching books for a long time now, and I’d love to win. Thanks so much for the chance!
I would LOVE to win these books! I’ve had them on my Amazon wish list forever.
i love these designs, but i have pretty minimal experience with embroidery, unless it is to embellish a softie! my sister is great at it, so i would share the books with her!
Oh, these books are on my Wish List. They have been, I just can’t justify buying an embroidery pattern book when I usually trace my “patterns” from real pics on the PC.
Embroidery is my favorite – sounds like a wonderful book.
Oh fun! I’m working on a hexie charm quilt and am using solids with embroidery for some of the pieces. I’d love to add these books to my library!

I’ve never done embroidery, but would love to pick it up. Just doodling with a pencil is a blast, so I can’t imagine what it would be like with some thread.
Embroidery is the first needle and thread work I learned to do as a child, and has remained a favorite all my life. There are so many creative possibilities, and a little doodle art would be fun have/learn.
I want to learn embroidery! I’ve only tried it a couple times with something super simple, but it was a lot of fun, would love to really get into it!

I have been embroidering all my life. I learned when I was 7 years old. We lived out in the country, and my mother taught me so I’d have something to do on days when it was too hot to go out.
When I was 8 I gave every man in the family a handkerchief with their initials embroidered with chain stitch in one corner.

Congratulations on opening a book store.
Embroidery provides a huge vista of opportunities to create but I am afraid I have only just scratched the surface. However, am prepared to dig with my bare (unthimbled) hands if I have to, I want to couch with gold thread on velvet and learn to make crazy quilts so richly embroidered you can barely notice the fabric. I have samplers to make and I’d love to do a redwork quilt. I also have in mind taking some calligraphy and embroidering it to adorn our walls with scripture wisdom.
I just started embroidering, again and having fun! I would love some inspiration. Thanks for the giveaway.
