Too Muchery Fat Quarter Pack~$50 Value (a giveaway experiment)
We’re always looking for ways to improve the blog experience so this was one of those weekends when I spent hours researching plugins and services. One of the things that we’d like to try is Rafflecopter. It allows you to create a giveaway with multiple ways to enter that can be run in several places at the same time. We’re going to give it a try! One of the ways you can enter this giveaway is by telling us if you have any feedback about Rafflecopter or recommendations for other plugins or services you think we should look into.
This is a test, but the prize if very real! We have one pack of 18 fat quarters from Helen Dardik‘s fabric collection for P&B, Too Muchery. This pack is valued at $50 and contains one fat quarter of each print in the collection. All right, here goes!

I kind of like it. Its a very neat and orderly way to list the various ways to enter a giveaway. I hate scrolling up and down a page to find the ways I can enter, I like that this puts it all in one place.
I have had no prior experience with Rafflecopter and I am not very savvy about plugins..
Rafflecopter looks like a great way to do giveaways. I like the checklist format.
I think this is a great idea! I love how easy the buttons make it to enter. I don’t have any prior experience with Rafflecopter, but so far, I’m loving it. Very convenient. Sometimes I don’t feel like entering giveaways because it’s a bit of a pain to go through all the steps. This seemed very easy.
I have not heard of Rafflecopter yet. When I get to writing my blog I might use it though.
I’ve never heard of rafflecoptor but it sounds cool. I’m just now hearing about plug ins and add ons, so I’m not really much help there. But, this pack of fat quarters looks awesome!!
I’ve never used it before. It was easy to use. Will probably always prefer the usual method used by most blogs I follow(comment that I tweeted, comment that I liked, etc) because it seems more personal and not so business-like.
I love fat quarters! Great idea for a giveaway
I love Rafflecopter.. I have used it on other blogs as well. Its so simple to use and so much quicker without haveing to leave the page you are on. I hope you will continue to use it! And ty for the great giveaway… I hope I win!!
I have no previous experience with Rafflecopter, but I like it so far. As the first commenter said, it’s neat and orderly. I feel much less mercenary having multiple entries this way.
Never used Rafflecopter, but it looks great, especially for giveaways with lots of ways to enter!
I like having choices of ways to enter a contest. The fat quaters are beautiful. Thank you.
This is new to me, but seems easy. I just found your blog today, but spent a lovely hour going through previous posts, and am now a follower
I have never seen Rafflecopter before. I found it to be very easy to use, and I think it’s a much easier set-up for your giveaways – it is so easy to tell how to participate, and to make sure that you’ve entered correctly.
I like having choices of ways to enter a contest. This is new to me, but I like it. The fat quarters are beautiful. Thank you.
Oooh I likey! Think I’ll give Rafflecopter a go on my next giveaway
Its very easy to follow & seems organised. Thumbs up from me! x
Never even heard of it before and as I am not very tech minded I like the simple way. Not sure I like it but maybe that’s because it’s something new.
I’ve never heard of this before, but it seems easy enough, which is the most important thing. When giveaways get too complicated I just pass on them.
Well that was easier… I think? lol. I always have to check and double check that I did the right things before I post comments for each one.
Oh I love how all the options are all in one place – usually you have to muck about going to Twitter, Facebook, etc separately. Rafflecopter does seem like a really good plugin.
interesting! I hadn’t seen this service before. It did have quite a time accepting my twitter url … had to try many times before it accepted it. That took a while, waiting for every try to time out and then attempting again. If some of those wrinkles get ironed out, I think it’s great! I hate having to go back and make multiple comments – “I tweeted!” “I liked it!” “I posted!” etc. Boring! And so many blogs on Blogger have comment issues, that after all that work, people’s comments don’t ever show up as existing! So this is nice and compact and I hope more dependable.
I haven’t heard of rafflecopter before, but it looks organised.
I think it Rafflecopter is good for entering giveaways, keeps you all on the same page! I have never worked with it from the other side though!
never used it before but it makes life a lot easier!
I really love this plug-in. A lot of great ways to enter in just one place. Fantastic. Wish they had this sort of plug-in for blogger blogs
I like that it’s streamlined and all in one place, but I was using my phone, and the submit button in each of the steps / options was hard to see. I’m not sure if there’s anything that could be done about that however!
this looks like a fun app, I look forward to hearing your review!
I’ve never heard of rafflecopter before. I don’t use facebook and I’m not very up with plug-ins. So I’m probably not much help!
Sorry, I haven’t heard about it either, as most of the participants :/ But I will be glad to evaluate any of your findings
This is a neat way to do giveaways, so easy to use… I usually had problems leaving comments on this website, but this time it was really simple!
I’ve never used it before but the process was pleasant.
I’ve never heard of rafflecoptor, but it seems to work well. I like not having to write a comment for every entry. I don’t do twitter, so I can’t respond to that area as for ease of use.
Interesting! Seems to working too, which is even better :^) Unfortunately haven’t heard of Rafflecopter but it did make is easy to respond.
Rafflecopter looks great – unfortunately have never heard of it!
The experience has been quite pleasant and very easy. If it is a free service I would definitely consider using it for my next giveaway…
I’ve no experience with this method so this a test for me as well. What I do know is that I like this line of fabrics very muchery.
1st experience…So far so good!!
I really liked that it walked me thru all the steps to enter! Made it SO much easier…
Love that!!!
It’s a first for me. I confuse easily so seldom try anything new.
This makes things a lot clearer as there’s instructions.
Rafflecoptor seems easy and pretty cool. Love those fabrics.
Seemed easy enough! Thanks!
Never heard of rafflecopter before, but it looks pretty user friendly so far!
Hearing about Rafflecopter for the first time. But, I searched it. A friend, who started to use it for her blog, says it has really helped her organise her stuff pretty well. And it’s easy for us users / wannabe winners, we get to see everything on one page. EG. the Rafflecopter FB page. Helpful, I must say ..
Never heard of it – looks very good though, and easy to use. Looks smart, and is simple to understand and follow.
And the FQs look really nice !
It looks cool, but needs some getting used to.
I like this! Makes it so much easier to enter! I love that’s it quick and easy and still gives us the opportunity to leave a personal comment on your blog. I HATE jumping thru hoops to try to win something, this is very streamlines!
Thanks!
Ok, so it takes a little bit of getting used to.. but admin wise it’s great!
Oh… and you kinda have to go back & forth … it’s kinda like a Government exam!!!
Looks nice. The only thing I don’t like is all the FB and Twitter thing. Not everybody has FB of Tweeter…
This is the first time I’ve seen Rafflecopter. Seems like a neat tool, but I think it’ll take more than one encounter to form a full opinion. Beautiful fabrics for the giveaway.
I have never used raffle coppter but it seems like it would be easy.
I have never used it either but I donát really like what see of it so far, I don’t like when I am eqpected to fit into a click box or a drop down menu. I do however really like the look of the give away. I have been wanting to try my hand at a bit of quilting for ages and this would give me just the stash I need to give it a go.
That’s the first time I heard about it, but it looks really neat!
I’ve never even seen rafflecopter before, but it’s easy to use from this end!
Never used rafflecopter before… it looks a little complicated to me.
I have no prior experience with Rafflecopter. Actually, I’ve never heard of it. It will be interesting to see how it works.
much easier this way!
Never seen it before. I’m interested to see how it works out for ya. I don’t know of any good widgets/gadgets. But I do love the fabric!
If all of your giveaways will be this organized – hip, hip, hooray! It was so easy to see all of the options, learn how to complete each each task and then enter the contest. I have never used it myself and this is the first time I used it as a contestant. I hope it works because I really like it.
I like it! Seems really easy to use!
I have never used Rafflecopter before. Its nice it gives you more opportunity for exposure to people you may not have reached before. Seems pretty easy to use, i like how it has directions below each.
This was so easy! I’m definitely a fan of rafflecopter.
It seem pretty slick I have no other experience with plugins let us all know how you think it went.
I like rafflecopter. It’s very easy to use and I can enter the giveaway on my iPhone. Thank you
I have never even heard about it before. It does make it nice and easy to see what the options are, but it does make it less personal.
It was pretty easy to use. I thought the Twitter one was the hardest simpley because you had to copy the tweet which required me going back to Twitter to get it. What I didn’t understand was if it was once only for each or nice only for the entiire thing. I tried to do each one of them to see how they all worked.
Thanks
I have never used Rafflecopter before but it sure made the process easier. I like that I was able to still leave a comment so please don’t ever remove that (it leaves a certain amount of personal contact in it) but the rest of the process was much easier. I don’t have any other plugins to recommend but I will keep my eyes open. Thanks for making aware there were even any out there.
ive never heard of rafflecopter and as with all things new, im a bit confused…doesnt help that i dont twitter, facebook or anything else for that matter. but i like sew mama sew and i like this fabric! good luck with your experiment.
Fan- fairy-tastic, made all those entries so much easier and I am very happy to use it again… sorry I haven’t any other fab suggestions for you
Raffle Copter seems a little clunky. Thanks for the contest!
its clever !
ooh! very nice.
I’ve never heard of it before, but it seems easy enough.
Interesting. One thing to think about though is the program requires JAVA to be functional and it might be a bit of a bandwidth hog for people checking in from rural areas on slow (i.e. dial up) connections.
I think it’s a great idea. And I appreciate that it worked on my iPad with no issues. The only thing that confused me was whether I was giving public access to my FB page, because it asked for my FB name. That fabric is so cool. I hope I win!
I have never heard about it, but I love the idea.
Easy to enter better than some other blog comps. But at the top it said only one entry yet it seems to have let many people enter multiple times by using the different entry methods. Was this your intention?
This is ingenius! What an a awesome way to run a giveaway. I think this will be great for both visitors and blog owners.
Mary
Unfortunately I don’t have great insight, but it was convenient to automatically like to Facebook “like”, etc.
Never used this before. Does it really limit people to one entry? I notice you say enter once only, but I clicked my one button, and it looks like I could click more if I wanted to (they didn’t disappear or anything). So if you really want just one entry per person it looks like it might be a bit of work at the end for you, to eliminate multiple entries if people click more than one option.
Otherwise, it’s very neat & tidy! I do NOT like being asked to jump through various hoops to enter a giveaway and generally won’t enter if that’s the case, but this makes it pretty easy.
This is brand new to me… sure makes it easy to enter!
I’ve not used Rafflecopter before. It took me some effort to get the Tweet address, but now that I know how, it seems pretty easy. The downside, I couldn’t do it from my phone…had to move to a computer. But that could be me.
Love Too Muchery….if I don’t win, I’ll have to buy the pack, I think!
I have now idea about this! I normaly just leave comments on posts!
I found rafflecoptor really easy to use.
It does absolutely nothing to reduce costs.
Rather simple and explanatory of all the options to win…I like it.
Haven’t used Rafflecopter before – seems complicated! Will be interested to hear what others think.
This is my first time using it–I like that everything is in one place and I can see what I’ve already done. Sometimes I mean to come back to a giveaway and complete entering, but then I forget. This streamlined the process and made it much easier.
It seems easy to use and an efficient way to organize the various options for entering the contest.
Never used it before, but it is so easy!
I had never heard of rafflecopter before but really love it! How nice to not have to jump around and search for web pages for multiple entries!
Pretty straightforward. Let us know how it works for you. Whenever I do a giveaway I’m still pulling names out of a bowl!
I’ve never heard of it but it was easy to use. I hate jumping thru hoops to enter giveaways and usually avoid them.
this is my first encounter with rafflecopter and so far i think it’s great! it is very easy to follow and easy to use!
Hmm, that’s pretty nice. I imagine it’s easier for you to keep track of. I like that it saves me from having to go to multiple sites to do each thing.
Yeah, this is alright. It still hung my browser briefly while it loaded, which is kind of an argh moment! If I was one to tweet and do multiple things in order to win I suppose it’d be more useful! I refuse to clutter up my friends’ lives with that stuff though.
It’s the first time i’ve seen it, but it looks very handy
This is a great contest. thanks for the opportunity to win!
I don’t have much experience with plugins either, but as some of the others have said, the fabric is beautiful.
I have never used Rafflecopter before. It did seem to simplify the process of the entries. I would say that I liked it because I prefer to read content in blogs over spending my limited time making entries.
I’ve never seen this before. seems pretty straight forward. a little impersonal.
Interesting! Certainly makes things more succinct. From my end, at first I thought that I had to do EACH of those things for one entry (blame Monday Morning Syndrome).
I’m no help, I think. I don’t know anythng about plugins!
Love the name, Rafflecopter. Cute! Thanks for the chance to win!
Never used it or anything like it, so I don’t have anything to add. But thanks for the chance!
Rafflecopter seems okay on this side of things. If it makes ya’lls lives easier…rafflecopter on!
This is a great idea. Very easy to follow.
I don’t know anything about plugins…but I do like the simplicity of finding the instructions and entering for the prizes!
This is first time I’ve seen rafflecopter. It looks like a great way to enter giveaways.
I’ve never even heard of it. It seems pretty easy to use, but I’m always nervous about new things. Yes, I’m a 30-year-old who is scared of twitter. If it helps you guys organize your “multiple ways to enter” giveaways, I say go for it!
I’ve never used one of these widgets before, but I like it! It saves a few clicks. I never do “extra entry” giveaways otherwise.
I like this method of entry. It took a minute to figure it out, but it is very efficient. I LOVE these fabrics as well.
Never heard of rafflecoptor, but it looks pretty cool!
I´ve never heard of rafflecopter but it looks good!
Ooh, I like this one!! I’ve never used it before, but I like being able to do something without having to submit a separate comment each time.
I haven’t heard the term, but hate it when other blogs use it. I understand the networking idea. Often, I skip a giveaway if there is are multiple ways to enter.
Okay, so I absolutely love that I don’t have to write a separate comment for each giveaway task. I definitely hold back from entering giveaways that require a million comments be left for each thing. I vote yeah for this plug-in.
This is my first experience with rafflecopter. So far so good, I guess. The giveaway is fantastic.
Sorry. Never heard of Rafflecopter until now!
Kind neat! No other experiences with it yet! Good luck!
On the flip side…your presentation is much more orderly than any others I’ve seen. Thanks for the chance:)
First time I’ve seen this. It’s pretty cool. Much easier than running all over the place to enter.
I love the format, it makes it easy to enter contests and doesn’t send me scrounging all over the web, only to wonder if my entry was counted.
I have never come across Rafflecopter before, but it sure seems easy enough to use! I like it!
Hadn’t used it before. I liked it. It was easy to enter via a number of ways, and was obvious when I had actually entered.
Interesting way to enter a giveaway….
I like it…super easy to confirm the other ways that you enter the giveaway i.e. facebook.
I like the Rafflecopter. It makes it easy to enter multiple times. Fun way to enter a giveaway!
This seems simple enough, never used it before.
I really like the easy way the giveaway is laid out with Rafflecopter with links or instructions for each step!
Love these!
I had never used rafflecopter before, but really liked it. Very easy to use!
I like leaving comments, it does seem more personal!
This seems like a very clear way to enter a contest. First time I’ve seen Rafflecopter though.
Made it easy to see how and what was entered! I like it!!
I’ve never used it before. Seems easy enough. Thanks for the opportunity to win!=)
I like it. I always get frustrated by contests with a whole list of entry options that require multiple comments. This is organized, streamlined and easy!
I have never heard of Rafflecopter but it looks like a good tool.
Oooh!! Pick me! Pick me! I LOVE these patterns! And Rafflecopter seems pretty cool too
wow. lovely fabric. thanks.
I haven’t used this before, but it seems very high tech!
much easier than some of the hoops you jump through on other blog giveaways! Thanks
First time using Rafflecopter.. and its neat! I’m in the UI web world and this widget is neat. Seems very user friendly on the front end. As for widgets in general, its a clean interface and the checklist format is really cool. Nice find.
I like blog comments best since I have messed up with the other methods more time than I can count. This I can see after I do it.
Hi! I think this is a great idea! I’ve never seen it before. Thanks for the chance to win some beautiful fabric!
Blessings!
first timer! very easy – makes quick work of all those entries!
Looks interesting– definitely worth a try. And the fabric looks fabulous!
Cool idea! Good luck with everything and thanks for such an awesome giveaway!
I haven’t heard of it until now, but the giveaway seems great! Thank you!
I’ve never used rafflecopter before. I like the idea of it numbering the entries though – saves counting them!
I have no experience with plug-ins, but the Rafflecopter is kind of cool. Neat to keep track of all of the ways you can enter.
I’ve never heard of rafflecopter, but I do want to enter your contest…the fabrics are lovely!
Love it!
The only issue I have with this is the issue I have with social networking in general… I really liked when it was all about people, but now it’s about promoting businesses, too. I take issue with promoting others’ businesses via my personal account. Facebook is one thing, but for me, twitter is another. But that’s a soapbox on social networking promotion in general. It was easy to choose which ways I was going to participate through Rafflecopter. It also leaves out the ambiguity of exactly how one is supposed to enter a drawing, as well as (I assume) checks the validity of each response. So in sum, for promoting in ways I’m not really on board with, Rafflecopter seems to streamline things quite a bit. It’s a win!
Question: If you do more than one of the options for entering, are you entered for more than one chance to win? This is my first experience with Rafflecopter.
What an easy interface. I like how organized it is. I don’t have other suggestions for you. :/
Rafflecopter seems easy to use. I’m afraid I don’t have any other useful advice about plugins! Thanks for the chance to win the pretty fabric!
I think the new gadget does simplify things a bit! I like it. I also LOVE too Muchery. Really keeping my fingers crossed (although it makes sewing much tougher!)
I like the checklist format and the prize!
The fabric looks very cool. As for rafflecopter, it is a bit confusing to me. I hope I don’t have to do all the steps to enter. I don’t twitter. Sorry. Otherwise looks pretty simple just click!
I’ve never used Rafflecopter before, but this is pretty cool! I’m curious to give it a try on my own site.
like the way you can use it like a giveaway entry checklist – helps me and my 2 second attention span stay focused on the prize. Love the too muchery!
Wow, I have never seen this before but I can tell you already that it is 100 times better than having to scroll around, spot ways to enter, open all the correct pages and tweet or FB or whatnot and then come back and comment, comment, comment. Honestly, I don’t have the time or energy for that. I’d rather buy myself a prize. Not only is this nicely laid out, it also gives you the links and prewrites your tweets. Nice. The only thing I was miffed about was that it immediately closed Twitter so I had to open it manually again to copy the URL. But maybe that just happened because I’m using a mobile device. But still. Much, much better.
It is much easier to enter, so I like it. So little time, etc!!!!!
This is my first experience with Rafflecopter. More opportunities to win cool stuff?!?! Sign me up!
I am a big fan of Helen Dardik. I don’t have any experience with Rafflecopter but it seems to make the contest experience more convenient.
I’ve never heard of rafflecopter. Hope it picks Me!
pretty interesting – not sure that I’d do all of these every time though…
This was a little hard to maneuver with my iPod. I’d like to try it on my computer.
I’ve never used the rafflecoptor before, but so far it seems to simplify things a bit. Thanks for the giveaway
Well, this is pretty interesting, I’ll say that. Fast and easy for us.
I have not used it before – but hopefully its a great tool for you!
It is very easy to follow what I need to do to enter.
It will be interesting to see how Rafflecopter works out. It was easy to use. I haven’t used any plugins on my much-neglected blog.
This collection of fabrics looks beautiful, my mind is already working out how best to use them.
I really like the Rafflecopter, it’s so much easier than having to leave a separate comment for each little thing you do!
I like using that widget.. was easy to follow. Sorry I don’t know of any other widgets to use. thank you for the giveaway
Hmm this is cool. I hope it makes hosting giveaways much easier. I’ve also seen people use a Google Docs method which is very similar to process their giveaway entries.
I have no experience with it at all. I am happy to join in the giveaway though
What a sweet prize! Thanks for having the giveaway!
Oops, forgot. Rafflecopter seems pretty cool. It is easy to use.
I have no expierence either, but love the format!! super easy!! ~Much Love from VA
Melody
no experience, but beautiful fabric.
Never used this before. I loved that it enabled me to Like or Tweet without having to leave the page. Awesome.
I really like how simple the plug-in makes it to enter a giveaway with multiple methods of entering! Totally approve.
I like the app! It’s nice and organized.
I’m not much of a computer person and have never heard of rafflecopter. Seems to work great though!
I’ve never heard of it before, but am interested to learn.
I like Rafflecopter. It’s nice that everything is all in one spot and easy!
I’m not sure that I understand what rafflecoptor does for the giveaway. I hate to be dim!
I do like the format of this giveaway (which may be thanks to rafflecopter)and how you can easily participate or choose to not participate in different ways.
Not a huge fan….but I am sure I could get used to it.
I haven’t used Rafflecopter before, but it seems to work well, even on my phone.
I have used it at some of the other giveaways. In general they’re fine and easier but I ran into one of the giveaway that pretty much made me give up on them..to even bother with. It had five rules that you had to qualify. I did the first three of five of their requirements for entering to only realize that I wouldn’t be able to enter. Wished that was posted prior to filling the forms. I was frustrated and said never mind, I won’t bother with them any more.. which includes visiting their blog/site.
This is my first time seeing it. It’s interesting. I do like the check boxes.
Well in case you’re wondering, it does work on iPod touch/iPad/iPhone so that’s cool. (I just entered using my iPod touch). Also, I love the confidentiality of it-I can give you my real info without making it visible to the general public!
What a great idea! I’ve never seen this before, but very excited to see how it works!
I have never heard of this before but it is great!. Super easy to use. And your fabric selection for the prize is awesome!
nice! ita with the above commenter that it’s a bit too stuffy for me, personally. but i would understand it’s use for a large blog.
I haven’t used any of them but will be interesting to find out if you like it as we have a giveaway coming up on World of Charity Stitching.
Dona
This is neat, the first time I have seen it – Much better than just listing. I’m sure it is cleaner for you guys too!!
I think its kind of cool. I’m not really crazy about any giveaway that requires me to give too much information, so I like that I have a couple differnt options to enter.
Hadn’t heard of rafflecopter until this – really like the way it’s all in one place so you don’t have to scroll up and down and up and down the page.
Love rafflecopter. It’s much easier than leaving a comment for each thing you do. Love too muchery!
Interesting. I like the ease of telling you which ones I’ve done. I was surprised not to see Facebook mentioned…is that the ‘liking’ the blog post you mentioned?
I know nothing about plugins like this, good luck finding ones you like!
Rafflecopter seems like a good tool to use if you are an online company needing to track sales, hits, etc. It seems business focused, and if your blog has that mission, it would be a good fit. I comment on blogs because of the blog, and if a giveaway is offered, that’s great. I enjoy the blogs because of the content, not because of the giveaways. I stop reading blogs if they focus too much on all of the ways to get points for a giveaway. To me, a giveaway is a random offering, not a points program.
I have not used Rafflecopter before, but it seems pretty easy to use!
That plugin is AMAZING! I am new to blogging, so don’t have much to offer, but love this new idea!
I have no experience with any plugins, but definitely see the need.
hmmm, I have never heard of rafflecopter before, but it seems to be very neat. I like that it keeps track of thins for u!
This is the first I’ve ever heard of this raffle thingy. Sorry I don’t have any recommendations…but I’d love to enter with a comment.
I like it! Much simpler. Thanks for the chance!!
Rafflecopter seems pretty straightforward and pleasant to use. Love that Helen Dardik–so thrilled she’s got a fabric collection!
this is really cool!! so much easier to use – i like!
I like Rafflecopter, makes the entering process easier… Just wish somehow that your information would show on each entry instead of having to type it in each time
Interesting. I’ve never seen that before but I tend to read and lurk mostly
The fabric looks awesome though!
I like how organized it is! Usually with multiple entries, I feel like it would be impossible for the site to actually know who did all the different means of entry, and give everyone the fair number of ‘tickets’. And I loooove that fabric!
Well, however you choose winners is fine with me, just so my name gets pulled every once in a while.
Have a great day!
What a fun plug in!
As lopng as it is user friendly I say why not… Yuou never know til you try.
I like how there is a little check list on rafflecopter. It is pretty slow on my cell, even with a wifi connection. But seems like a good way to do contests!
I too have not heard of Rafflecopter. Someone had another brilliant idea! It will be interesting to hear the outcome. Of course the outcome I want to hear is that I won!
I’m not sure how I feel about it. I’ll try all the ways and then decide. By the way, I love the fabric.
I seem to be the odd one of the bunch *no surprises there*….I actually like Rafflecopter….because it simplifies all the bits you have to do.
hugs
Naomi
This method seems neater than leaving a comment to say you tweeted… then another comment to say you ‘liked’… etc.
Very cool. What an easy way to follow directions.
I’ve never used it before, but I like having all the options clear and listed out.
I have never seen or used rafflecopter before however my experience with this is that it was easy. I didn’t have any problem with understanding the directions or following through. The fat quaters on the other hand look yummy!
This seems a little wonky – you do the action and you also have to then click the button to say that you did it? It seems like one too many steps!
what a neat plug-in! how fun!
I hate to be negative, but I have not been liking this multiple entry idea. I’ve seen it popping up on more and more blogs. The reason is that I don’t like using Facebook and Twitter so I often feel slightly “cheated” that these options aren’t available to me, personally. However, I don’t feel right ccmplaining about it, because it’s a GIVEAWAY, for pete’s sake! I’m just grateful that you and other folks offer them to us, and so I’m happy (thrilled, actually) to get to participate at all. Just my two cents. Thank you so much for this one!
I like it the ease of deciding how to enter. I also like seeing how many entries there are.
I have not used Rafflecopter and I’m not sure I like it, although i know it’s surely easier for you on the back end. I find all the extra ways to earn entries off-putting.
I have never used any of those, however thanks for the chance at the lovely fabric!
Don’t understand rafflecoptor or plugins, etc. I do use Google Reader to consolidate the blogs I like to read and can understand commenting on a blogpost. I can also “like” a facebook page.
I hadn’t heard of rafflecopter before. My comment is that it would be great if any plugins that you use are compatible with/viewable on an Ipad or something like that. I think lots of people use those kinds of devices to surf the internet nowadays!
Love this giveaway!
I like it. User-friendly and simple. However, when I used the “like” feature it asked me to sign into facebook again. That was annoying & I hit “back”… I like things to be quick & simple. I’m usually on my phone so any extra sign-in steps & you lose me. Otherwise this was a great app. Good idea
love your site!!!
I’ve never heard of Rafflecopter! It was a very orderly way to get the word out and have a chance to win a beautiful prize! Seems like a win-win!
Seemed pretty easy. I’ve never used rafflecopter. Seems like an easier way to do it. I like that I don’t have to comment a million times, just once and you are done. Beautiful fat quarters!!
This an exciting new way to host giveaways. Rafflecopter is amazing! I’ve never used it before.
I’d not heard of or sued Rafflecoptor, but I can see its benefits. I just follow your blog via Google Reader & get all my info that way.
Like others, I’ve never heard of rafflecopter but found it pretty darn easy to use. I am not familiar with other plugins. The fat quarters are beautiful.
So far my experience with rafflecopter is just my experience here. So far I like it. I am going to check it out too! Every option to enter was easy to do.
Thank you,
I really like the list format of rafflecopter…it makes entering easier and simpler in my mind. Thanks for the great giveaway!
I like how neat Rafflecopter, but I’m not tech-savvy enough to have much thoughtful input beyond that. Happy to help you try it out, though.
I’ve never heard of the Rafflecopter, either, but I like it! Thanks so much for testing it out with a giveaway
To update my comment about Rafflecopter, I’m not crazy about having to re-enter my name & email address each time. I’d like it better if I could log-in once (either to Rafflecopter & it could save my info across webstes or just log-in to the SMS website). Does that make sense? Let me know if you would like clarification.
I have entered a few giveaways with Rafflecopter and it is easy to do but have never won that I know of.
I have not used Rafflecopter or any other product like it. Seems like a wonderful idea.
I’m a checklist fiend. I like how all the different ways to enter a giveaway are together in one place and this is easy to use.
I like that it’s a plug in that the website has, instead of something that I have to download myself. However, the only one of the options that I’m likely to use is leaving a comment on the blog – I’m not really a fan of contests that depend on my endorsement over Facebook and Twitter.
Never used rafflecopter, looks neat!
I have never heard of Rafflecopter but it looks like a very useful tool. I love your blog and your great giveaways no matter what method you use to for your readers to enter.
I have never used Rafflecopter before. I think I like just leaving a comment better. However, I do see the appeal of being able to get things checked off. I don’t know of any plugins.
Never heard of it either! But anything with the word ‘coptor’ in it has to be cool, right??
i have never used rafflecopter for entering a giveaway. i like this format of entering, several chances/options to win and it isn’t confusing or time consuming with the links/buttons right there for you.
I like the rafflecopter too – even if my non-Facebook brain “liked” the blog post in my google reader!
I’ve also never heard of it before. I prefer the usual method since it gives equal chance to those who don’t do facebook and twitter.
Oh, of all the collections in your store right now this one is my favorite!
I think a little instruction would make this a bit easier. Even though I read the text about only entering once I nearly entered 3 times. There are so many entries where you get more points for tweeting, or liking or making a comment on your own blog that it is a bit counterintuitive to only pick one.
It looks simple enough to use and like it would make running contests easier for the site owner. However, I agree with Rachel. It seems less personal and more business like to follow a check list. Somehow it just seems to cross over that line of showing you appreciate a site honestly to doing this just to win a contest.
Hmmmm, it was nice to see the change from “I did this?” to DONE, but I agree with the previous poster that it seemed rather business like. This fat quarter pack is gorgeous, well worth the experiment!
I am kindof surprised that the “Leave Comment” thing doesn’t open up a comment box. What happens if you lick that you left a comment and didn’t? That’s a bit confusing. Be that as it may, it’s a great concept. I’m sure there are other plug-ins that work well but I’m not very tech savvy so I can’t help you with that. Sorry. Hope you get some good responses though.
I don not know this tool. But sounds great
I have no knowledge or experience with Rafflecopter, but it seems a little more complicated on my end. If it’s easier on your end, though, go for it!
I’d never used Rafflecopter before, but it was very easy and I liked the simplicity of it. I hate scrolling up and down and trying to keep track of what I’ve already done.
I did not know Rafflecopter, but it seems a good way to get organized when you want to participate if you can choose many ways to do it.
i think it’s easy-peasy. just saw it on another blog and it motivated me to enter a giveaway.
I can’t give any input on rafflecopters as I’m not familiar with that, but I’m all for putting my name in entries as long as a) it doesn’t require facebook, b) it doesn’t require twittering, and c) my info isn’t given out for 3rd parties for soliciting.
Lovely giveaway! I really like the format.
I don’t do twitter or facebook so this is the only way I can enter! I don’t have any feedback for you, though, sorry!
This is the first time I have heard of Rafflecopter, but I like how it puts all the choices together, and makes it easy to enter multiple ways!
This is the first time I’ve even heard of Rafflecopter, so I don’t have much useful input, sorry! If it makes YOUR lives easier, then hooray!
Hmm, interesting. I’ve never heard of Rafflecopter. Seems to streamline entering, but also looks cumbersome. Probably overall helpful though, since it’s easy to see how to enter!
I can’t tell if clicking the blue links automatically completes the action & entry, or if I need to click the blue side and then the green buttons as well…
First time rafflecopter user. It seemed easy enough and good for people who access the info with a variety of methods. All in one spot is very convenient.
I’m not a fan of the “Jump through these 4 hoops to enter” giveaways, they tend to annoy me. But, if you’re going to do hoops, this app seems like a good way to do it.
I think rafflecopter is a good tool to do giveaways when you need the participants to do more than one thing to enter. I still like the old way too but this way is faster.
Thanks for the chance to win!
I’ve never heard of rafflecopter but it looks pretty neat!
Don’t have a blog…so probably won’t win…But i want that fabric..
How yummy! I would love to win. Haven’t heard of Rafflecopter, maybe I need to try it too. Seems great so far!
I’ve never used this before, but its easy to navigate! The fabric is beautiful! Hope I win
I’ve never heard of it before but Rafflecopter seems like a quick way to have multiple entry methods.
I’ve never heard of Rafflecopter before but the concept sounds good. I’ll be interested to see how it works out.
I’ve never used it before. I’m a little confused. Do I need to hit the I did it button after this? I will figure it out. I’m a slow learner:)
I love it! I don’t enter sometimes because of all the hoops that I have to jump through! I like rafflecopter!
I hate that so much of this relies on Tweeting. I closed my Twitter account ages ago and refuse to open a new one :-p
It is new to me and user friendly, but I am like the previous poster I like the personal touch.
Perhaps if I was more techno savvy it may appeal more to me.
Thanks for the opportunity to give an opinion.
I have not heard of Rafflecopter, but I learned some things using the test here. It does make it easier to do multiple entries on a giveaway. I’d say I like it.
Well, that was easy to use! I like that it tracks every entry I’ve made.
I just finished a quilt top using 20 squares (my cousin let me pick out of her own collection of fat squares so I could make a quilt)
Knowing I cannot buy these right now, I sure see the value of such a nice giveaway and noticed the entry of the fat squares!!
The entry seemed easy and straight forward.
I’ve never used this before, but it seems pretty straight forward and simple.
I love this! It was super easy!
I had never heard of Rafflecopter until this post. I do like it, though. Makes everything easy and efficient to use. Thanks for the giveaway!!!
Never used Rafflecopter before, but I like the concise table with directions.
No experience.but love fabric.
Looks kinda interesting – I ‘liked’ it and was pleased with how you can do it without leaving the site you’re on.
The fabric is very cool!
There will always be some new thing coming along. Not everyone has the time or inclination to learn “the latest thing”. I’d rather see you talk about sewing, techniques, fabrics, patters, … – the things that make your site unique and useful – anything rather than yet another social tool.
I like it – it drives me nuts when contests want me to click all over the place and then come back to say I did so – this does most of the work for me.
Wow – not sure if I really like this, but I do like the fabric. It seems like the things I hate most about blogs in a formalized form. I hate that many blogs are going this route….promote me to death (tweet, like me, etc.) and I’ll possibly give you something. I just want to read good content on sewing and enter a simple giveaway with a blog comment now and then. sigh.
It was a little confusing to me but perhaps because it’s morning and I’m not as hip to the electronic or whatever they are called devices – but regardless I do like giveaways!
I’ve never used this or any other plugin before. I do think it’s easier than leaving multiple comments.
I’m not on Twitter, so I found that two of the four buttons did not apply to me. At this point, between Facebook, Google+, Flickr and blog following, I am hitting social media overload so I’m not inclined to become a Twitter-er…
Overall, I think that I prefer the normal method of commenting to blog posts; although I can definitely see the value of Rafflecopter in promoting a business. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
I have never used this before… I will look at it more, but there is a lot to look at. If it makes it easier for you then that is a good thing.
Interesting experiment. Is it easier for you?
This is the first I have heard of rafflecopter, but it seems easy to use
I like the check list with all of the instructions right there so you are not clincking back and forth between pages. LOVE the fabrics!!
That is actually a very neat app. I hate clicking over to all those other windows, but that made it very easy!
I’ve never seen it before. It looks nice.
I have never used this or heard of this before. To me I think it kid of helps expedite the process when you give multiple things to do!
I like Rafflecopter. Easy enough.
Oh my goodness this is quite novel!
Got a bit confused on this Comment on – but that’s me being to hasty no doubt!
I like that I don’t have to scroll up and down to figure out how else to enter. Thanks for the giveaway!
This is great! I hate give aways that you have to leave several comments to enter. Much easier!
I’m sorry but I’m not that computer savvy. Blogs are tough enough for me to follow.
Interesting! It’s a little strange, but nice to have everything listed in an orderly way.
I’ve never heard of this, but so far I like it! Pretty easy to get your entries in! The only problem I can see is that you’ll get a ton more entries. This might seem good, but people really don’t have to read the blog post or anything to find the giveaway and enter…seems to defeat the purpose.
Very easy to use.
This is my first time with rafflecopter – but I LOVE it! way way easier than any other way of multiple enteries I’ve ever seen!
I’d never heard of Rafflecopter before today, but I think it’s great! What an easy and convenient way to enter giveaways!
Trying out the new entry, and hoping for the fat quarters
Seems simpler. I really don’t like complicated entry procedures, and if it seems too complicated I don’t enter and I don’t share it with anyone. So this might be better.
I have no prior experience with Rafflecopter, but I am not a fan of giveaways that use Twitter to enter. I do like the steps to enter all laid out for me.
I haven’t heard of a rafflecopter but AWESOME!
I kind of like rafflecopter. I think you will get more people entering giveaways this way.
New to me too – I do like it.
First time I’ve seen this. Very quick and direct!
I have never heard of Rafflecopter before so I am new to it. Seems like it could be pretty neat and efficient though. Thanks
Sorry, I haven’t a thing to say about plug ins, as I’ve never had to research them. I do like the idea of Rafflecopter, though. The GUI on the user end seems intuitive, its easy to see how many entries there are, thus predicting odds, and its simple, which is another plus!
That was way easier than other giveaways I’ve entered. There were no additional logins or having to click around to a million places or leave a ton of comments. I like it!
Whoa, that was awesome! SUPER easy, I loved it!
I’ve never used it before. It looks easy but the enter giveaway part never went away. (the little pop up portion once you click I did it). I kept clicking that button and waiting and it never went away until i hit cancel after about the 4th time. Then it said done where the button for I did it was. A bit confussing in that area! (But overall I like the idea)
Never heard of it, but I do like it! Love that each option has a button right there, makes things very simple.
beautiful fabric! Never used rafflecopter before.
Rafflecopter rocks! the checklist format is super easy
It was easy! I like it!
I don’t know much about different services for entering giveaways. I do like how you guys gave 4 options to enter but there’s not a required one before you can do the next one. It seems pretty easy to use!
I haven’t heard of this, but I hope it works.
I like it! But it is new to me, as is most stuff with blogging
Interesting. I’m not sure I care to see updates of who has entered, but the list of different ways to enter is handy.
Lovely prints! I’d love to have them…hope I win!
seems like a pretty effective tool and I like it.
never heard of it–but looks pretty cool!
This seems like a great way to keep track of giveaway entries!
I have never heard of rafflecopter, but I will enter a giveaway in all possible ways! Great fabric prize for this one-I love the saturated colors.
I have never used it before but I think it is an awesome idea! I love that it clearly tells me the ways to enter then how to do it! I recently started a blog- I will definitely be looking into using it down the line- very cool tool!
I LOVE rafflecopter, many blog giveaways are moving towards it and I think the process is much easier. The ways to enter are right where you’re entering, there’s no capcha’s to worry about, and I feel more secure about leaving my email in the form (or unpublished like here on Sew Mama Sew) than in my comments. I don’t know how friendly it is on your end but for me it’s perfect.
I like it! Easy to use and straight forward. I haven’t seen this type of thing before so I don’t have any suggestions. Sorry!
I have had no prior experience with Rafflecopter no cool plugins to talk about
I had never before heard of Rafflecopter, but it seems like a great way to organize giveaways. Crossing my fingers and toes for some Too Muchery.
I have never seen rafflecopter before, but I really would love to wing those fat quarters!
Looks interesting. It seems a lot more streamlined than leaving a separate comment for each entry.
I actually like this plugin. If everyone used this for May Giveaway Day, it’d certainly make entering giveaways a lot easier! I probably would use this if I ever host a giveaway on my blog. Thanks for the giveaway!
looks very interesting! I thin kit looks good, and I’m looking forward to hearing the results of your test!
This is my first experience with Rafflecopter. Wow, so much easier!
Gee. This is neat. First time seeing this. What will they come out next.
I love how this simplifies the entry process. I rarely bother with blog giveaways because they usually require so much time and effort. Now people with limited computer time (or learning disabilities that make it difficult to follow complex instructions, etc.) can easily participate. Great plugin choice, in my opinion.
I have never seen anything like this, but I really like the format. A great experiment, and I can see how this would be a useful plugin(?) for SewMamaSew.
I think it’s pretty neat, but I think, in general, that more entries for having more media is a bit unfair. I love the fabric, but I think I should have the same chance of winning as everyone else. I know the purpose it serves for Sew Mama Sew- more exposure- but I don’t think I should have to blog or twitter, etc, to win. Just sayin’.
I haven’t used (or heard of) Rafflecopter but it sounds like a great way to make giveaways easier to manage. I am all for it!
Okay, that was pretty cool! I’ve never heard of Rafflecopter but it sure made entering all those different ways extremely easy.
I am about as un-tech-savvy as it’s possible to get, so I have no prior experience with Rafflecopter. Or plug-ins. But it sounds like a neat idea, and I hope it works well for you!
I’ve never used Rafflecopter before but if it makes it easier for you to host giveaways then I’m all for it!
I love entering with Raffelcopter! So much quicker than leaving all separate comments and an email address each time!
I like this idea. It gives people more chances to enter but at the same time no pressure. For example I don’t have twitter but I don’t feel obligated to run a nd set one up instead I just enter in the ways that are easy for me. P.S. That fabric looks yummy!
What an amazingly beautiful fabric line! Full of great possibilities…
I like the concise way that entry methods are presented
I don’t really like this… it makes you do too many things– I don’t want to do all the facebook and twitter stuff, so I agree with someone above, I prefer the usual method since it gives equal chance to those who don’t do facebook and twitter.
I really like Rafflecopter! it makes it easy to enter and takes the confusion out of the experience. Usually I end up giving up before I can jump through all the hoops.
And the fabric collection is FABULOUS!
I see more and more blogs doing this setup. I like it!
I absolutely love this fabric! So many ideas brewing!
Love these patterns!
Love the checklist simplified approach from Rafflecopter, sorry I have never seen anything like it, but it appears very user friendly. I love the fabric thanks for the chance to win.
Love it, something I hadn’t seen before.
I’ve never seen rafflecopter and I know nothing about plug-ins… But it seems like it makes sense for a business to ‘consolidate’ their giveaways.
I’ve never heard of rafflecoptor but it sounds like a good idea. And Too Muchery is definitely a good idea
Interesting plugin. I”m curious to hear how it works.
it’s interesting, a good way to keep track of what everyone is doing to win… and a good way for us to know we used every entry option available!
I have never heard of rafflecopter either but I think it certainly makes things easier to connect with the different social networks than having to open a billion new pages. I have found Pagemodo and the Feedback apps on my Facebook to be really helpful. Thank for this giveaway learned a lot!
I’ve never seen Rafflecopter before. It does make the entry possibilities very clear. Great idea.
I’ve never heard of Rafflecopter, but it is a great idea. Way to pull it all together!
This seems like a much easier way of ‘spreading the word.’ Very simple and succinct.
To be honest, I have never heard of it before. But, I would sure like to win this generous giveaway
Thank you for hosting it.
Rafflecopter is easy to use from an entry standpoint. Thanks for the opportunity to win this beautiful fabric line.
I think this is a great way to run giveaways! This is so easy to follow and there’s no searching all over the page to find the different ways to enter. Thanks for trying this!
Never heard of Rafflecopter before– must investigate. Thanks for the giveaway!
Looks pretty cool to me!
I don’t have any experience with Rafflecopter, but I think the name is very funny! :>
I really like the Rafflecopter thing. It really makes it easy to navigate around all the different ways to enter a giveaway. I always have 3 tabs opened and I’m always clicking back and forth, so it’s really handy. It also feels more legit to me- making the directions were followed for each entry. This was my first time using it and I think it’s great. Along with this awesome giveaway.
I’m not so sure about rafflecoptor. It was easy to use. I wonder how it would to use for a blogger. What is the cost, how hard to set it up…
Though I’ve not heard of rafflecopter before the name sounds very fun! The simplicity of the widget makes me a strong supporter so far.
I like it!
This is a great way to test a new plug-in.
I like the simplicity, and the fact that you only choose one way to enter.
It seems fine, but it seems with so many options to enter that by doing multiple things we could get multiple entries. Seems counter intuitive to have all of those options without being able to get something for doing more than one. I do like to see how many other entries there are (though I get discouraged when I see so many, and realize what a shot in the dark it is!).
I like the rafflecopter. I’ve never used anything like it before, but it makes it easy to enter, and you know that you’ve done it.
interesting concept. I had never heard of it. it seems like a good idea.
I hope it works for you!
I’d never used rafflecopter before but it seems really easy and usable.
I’ve never heard of this — do not have the hang of it yet. Regardless, would love to win this fabric.
I love the way it tallys all of the folks that have entered, and that there’s a bunch of ways to enter. But what if you don’t mark the “I did this”? I assume it doesn’t really matter….
I’ve never heard of it before, but it seems like a good one to have.
I love Rafflecopter. I use it now for all of my giveaways, and will only usually enter giveaways that have it. It makes it so much easier. No more 15 comments for a giveaway. It’s easy to moderate and pick a winner, plus I love that if you made a mistake you can edit it and it will show up as soon as your done.
I think I like it but its a bit clunky…..
I like it. All in one place and easy peasy
What a great tool for giveaways!! If this was around more I would enter more! Thanks again or the opportunity!
wow…cool.
Never heard of it before but looks very useful! I think it will make entering giveaways easier. Good luck with it!
I’ve entered other giveaways using Rafflecopter. On the one hand, it’s nice to be able to click and it opens up what you need to do. On the other hand, I hate that once you post a tweet, you have to reopen that window to get the link to enter.
This is my first experience with rafflecopter, but so far so good! LOVE that it allows you to enter a giveaway in various ways… directions are clear and concise! The fabric looks amazingly beautiful!
I’ve never actually seen it before, but it looks pretty cool!
Sorry, no insights here. Love the giveaway though!
aliben7 (at) gmail (dot) com
This is my first encounter with rafflecopter. It seems easy enough
I love rafflecopter for entering giveaways. I have yet to use it as the giveaway HOST however.
I’ve never heard of this service, but I’m curious to see how it pans out.
It;s a useful idea, I’ve come across it a few times recently and it seems to work well, my only negative is that it makes the experience feel too commercial rather than friendly and intimate which is how your blog feels…
I have used Rafflecopter before and find it very easy to use. Thanks for the giveaway!
I have never heard of Rafflecopter before, but I like the clearly organized look and functionality of it. I hope it works for you as the host of the giveaway. I always love a chance to win free fabric!
Oh, my goodness! I would love to win this. as for Rafflecoptor, I’ve never used it. I might though, now that I’ve heard about it!
I seems like a neat way to give multiple options for giveaway entry.
Never heard of rafflecopter but it looks pretty awesome. The fabric is gourgeous!
So when it says once only, is that once for each item or only one of the several options?
This looks and works much easier than some other multiple entry giveaways I’ve seen and done. I like it.
I really like how Rafflecopter makes it easy to see the different ways I can enter a giveaway!
Yes, it seem to work OK. I have no tips for you, I’m not very techy!
I think this is a great plug in. I love that all the pertinent information is graphically represented in one spot. It makes checking that your entry(ies) went through very convenient.
I’ve never twittered and I did facebook for a while until it just felt creepy and started to take the place of calling or actually getting together with my friends. I like Rafflecopter because it lets the reader see just how many people have entered and how many days are left. That is pretty cool. As long as you keep the blog reply an option I think Rafflecopter is pretty cool.
Thanks for the giveaway!
I like Rafflecopter! Haven’t seen it before but I like the layout, it’s very organized-looking.
This is definitely easier and I’d be more willing to enter contests, provide feedback, etc if it is all in one place, instead of bouncing around Twitter/FB/etc.
Also, fabric!
Hmmm…never used this before. I like it.
I like this! It’s SO much easier than having to open Twitter and cutting and pasting. It’s all right there. So simple and fewer clicks!! Thanks!
I’ve never used it before, but as a newbie I sometimes get lost in how to enter and this was easier and much more intuitive.
First time I saw one of these, I was SUPER confused at what to do. But now that I’ve seen them around, they aren’t too bad.
But personally, my favorite giveaways only have one entry per person. When you get on and see 1000 entries, it scares me off.
No experience or recommendations, but this seems like a nice and orderly way to organize a giveaway when there are multiple ways to enter.
This is my first time to use rafflecopter. Hadn’t heard of it or seen it before. Thanks for the giveaway!
Quite like the look of this Rafflecopter, its much nicer to see things laid out so simply.
Oooh this looks very advanced! Good luck with the new app
Also, the fabric is ADORABLE!
I have no prior experience with it, but it seems like a really nice and orderly way to keep it all together, as well as make sure all entries are accounted for and monitored.
Sounds like a neat approach to the giveaways. Cool! Nifty fabrics, too!
I have never heard of this, what a raffle, what a copter? But the fabric is really lovely, so I give it a try!
Don’t have anything to say about rafflecopter – other than I like the name!!!
Hmm – interesting. Honestly not sure what I think, but provisionally I’ll say it’s useful. ^_^ Best of luck with it.
No prior experience but I like it all in one easy to use spot.
It’s a bit funky to use on an iPhone. Eerything looks wonky for some reason. It is really nice to have all the ways to enter in one place though.
It seems like a fair way to have a giveaway, esp. when including leaving a comment on a blog. I have seen other giveaways that only consider facebook or twitter, and that leaves me out!
love a giveaway! I’ve never heard of Rafflecopter… will try the like on facebook, but i don’t do twitter.
i have a love hate relationship with rafflecopter..one time it ate my posts and i ended up entering 18 times to this lovely womans blog..it was embarassing.. but i didnt have that problem this time!
I have no experience with Rafflecopter. Love the fabric.
Love raffle copter easy to use!
I’ve never seen it before! It took a bit longer to load than the rest of the page, but I think I like it!
I think this worked quite well for liking the contest on facebook. I think when you click the blog comment though, it should bring you to the comment section. Great contest!
I’ve never seen a plug-in like this, but I like it.
I’d never heard of rafflecopter before, but it was easy to use. I have to say, though, that I find giveaways with multiple options for entries highly annoying and most of the time won’t enter them on principle. From a business standpoint I get the reasoning behind it; as a consumer it make me less likely to return to/patronize the site/company.
I like rafflecopter! This is my first experience with it and it streamlines the multiple entry methods process.
I have never heard of it either. I understand why you would want to explore different avenues. I like to make one entry..one comment…one shot. Only because I don’t have time to go to so many sites. I’ll still enter/read the SMS blog which ever way you go!
I love what I’m seeing with Rafflecopter – I’ve limited my entry into things in the past not having the time or energy to wade through all the options – when I saw how simple this looked I actually considered multiple entries. I’d run with this if I was you!
That was so easy and cool. I’ve never heard of them before, but I’m not a blogger either. I’m a participant in blog land only. If it works, it’s a great tool and it would be nice only to have to do one thing in giveaways.
I haven’t used it before, but it seemed very convenient and organized to me. I’d appreciate knowing what you think when it’s all over.
Well I like it, its tidy and very informative without being confusing.
I didn’t know about that kind of pluggins before. I like it. Easy and helpfull.
never heard of, don’t know anything about it. sorry
I’ve never heard of Rafflecopter, but that’s why I enjoy reading this blog. Always something new to learn!
Another blog I follow is doing something similar, they are also using rafflecopter. I think it’s a good idea, but I don’t have facebook or twitter so I am limited in my entering options… so I have mixed feelings about this service.
I like this, though I have no previous experience. It seems easier for you and for contestants.
This is such a fun idea! Look at all the entries already :O
This seems easy – wonder if my entry actually worked though!
Oh Pick Me. I like WordPress gadgets beter than facebook and twitter. Just easier to follow.
I’m a friend of simple things – rafflecopter seems to be a good idea to run one giveaway on different blogs/platforms at the same time.
I’ve never heard of Rafflecoptor, but wow! Super cool! And also super great giveaway… as always.
I like rafflecopter. I like when it has a blank spot for comments and then you can do it right on the form!
I am a big fan of Rafflecopter. It is so easy to use!
My first time using it but I like it. Like seeing all the entry options all laid out nicely.
not familiar with this format but willing to try something new, good luck!
I really like this method! It’s much easier than swapping between browsers, back and forth tweeting and face booking etc
Thanks for the giveaway. I like the please leave one comment type of giveaway. Simple is what I am in to though. Thanks!
I don’t know anything about Rafflecopter or plugins. Thanks for the giveaway.
Thanks, Peggy
Meh. It’s orderly, but I don’t use much of the options…and just planned on commenting anyway. So, I’m pretty sure I’m not the user you’re aiming it at. I do READ blogs avidly and comment on them, but I’m on social media overload, so I don’t think I’d try for more than one chance in the methods you supply.
I’ve never seen anything like this – something new is always being tried. Thanks for a chance for the fabric giveaway.
Thanks,
Peggy

I like the listing of options all in one place. However, I am not familiar with Rafflecopter or others to compare. Thanks for the opportunity.
It is a good way. I never use twitter and I do facebook, but only use that to see what family is up to, so never use those options myself. I am of a simple mind, leaving a comment is my favorite way to do contests.
Debbie
Never used it before but straight forward and easy to follow.
This is the first time I use it and it was ok. I wasn’t too impressed with it but I did like the fact that I could still enter the giveaway by leaving a comment. Thank you for the opportunity to enter!
I like the way it works!
I did notice that I received an error message a few times (no problem) but it looks like it might have entered me for each time I “tried again”.
I am not familiar with Rafflecopter. That said, I thought that the process of doing all the items was much easier than I expected it to be. Great giveaway – fingers crossed!
never ever heard of rafflecopter. i, like others before have mentioned, don’t like when you have to tweet or “like” something to enter a giveaway. i think a blog comment should be enough.
Gotta love a checklist!
I have never used either plugin. Love the fabric.
I’ve never even heard of rafflecopter before. It seems quite straight forward and easy to use, except for leaving a comment in which it just added a couple of extra steps to the procedure. Thanks for the giveaway.
Oh, I’m a big fan of this.
I have no experience with Rafflecopter, but the fabrics are beautiful!!
Don’t have a blog or twiitter, but do use facebook so this was a solution that works for me! Thanks.
Also never heard of it before – but if it makes things easier, I’m for it!
It was a little confusing that the leave a comment “do this” didn’t open a comment box. It seems nice, other than that, though!
Seems easy enough. I never do all the tweeting/facebooking entries (hate to spam my friends) but this would make it simpler.
This is the first time I use Rafflecopter. It seems quite nice and easy to use.
i like the checklist format and i think its clearly explained how to enter. that is very good.
this has nothing do do with rafflecopter, but i dont care for the fact that Twitter users get 2 additional entries.
Experiment away! Nice give away.
I tend to resist change, and I’m not loving this. I do, however, love the fabric!
It seems very easy to use, much easier than following instructions. I especially love the buttons you click to do things. Two thumbs up!
I’ve never heard of Rafflecopter before but the checklist is nice.
I kinda like it but I messed up on the twitter username. Guess I lost that entry.
Looks orderly and organized. From a marketing point of view I can understand offering multiple ways of “earning” an entry but since it bugs me when facebook friends and family do things like this, and since twitter just confuses me, I guess I will forever be limited to a single entry. That works though since you only need to have the one winning entry, the rest ate superfluous.
I like that Rafflecopter shows how many more days there are left for the entries to be sumbitted. Also I like the list of ways to enter and it appears to be much more user friendly.
I have never heard of this before but saw it on another site. Very interesting!
I did a quick study on it (new to me) and it appears that Rafflecopter handles multiple entries a bit better.
Some blogs like you to follow them, like them, twitter about, and generally stand on your head and flap your arms. This must be confusing to a giveaway blog such as SewMamaSew when they receive hundreds of entries.
I’m curious.
This seems a lot easier – thanks for the great giveaway
I’ve never heard of Rafflecopter, but it seems so easy to use!
I have never heard of rafflecopter, but I think it sounds like a good idea. I will be interested to hear how it goes
Wow, this is new to me-have never heard of it before. However, a great way to do a giveaway. Thanks
Don’t know anything about this plugin, but the fabric you are giving away is very interesting! Couldn’t figure out how to “like” the blog post! Oh well!
No preference on rafflecopter – never heard of it before. Like that I can leave a comment the “old fashioned” way. My how quickly things change. By the way, I love the fabric. In the end that is what this is all about. Great fabric, great store and a neat blog. Thanks! anne
Haven’t heard of it before. But this looks much easier than reading through how to enter other contests. Thank you!
mmmmm. I don’t think I like this. The interface seems odd. It is easy enough to click on everything, but I’d rather interface with a person than a machine. Is it really more efficient? Interesting idea.
I like how you can just go down the list and decided how you want to respond. It was very easy and accessible. Thanks!
Seems like a great way for giveaways. Easy for people to enter. Loving the prints
I’ll admit, I hate jumping through hoops like facebook, tweeting or posting on my blog. I don’t mind answering a question with an intelligent answer or going to another blog to find an answer though.
I had never heard of Rafflecopter before this, but it certainly is an organized way to list entries. Personally I like just one method of entry by leaving a comment on the blog.
I don’t usually enter these, trying to keep my social media pared down, so when I do enter, I only do the blog reply portion. Oh, and this fabric could keep me occupied for months!
I’m sorry to say that I’ve never heard of rafflecoptor.
I’m another Rafflecopter newbie, but it does feel like a nicer way of entering, and really simple.
Never heard of Rafflecopter before, but I like the fabric and will post for it!
It looks nice but I don’t have any experience with it. Unfortunately, I don’t have any suggested/favorite plug ins to suggest either. I hope you find something that works well for you.
Cheers, Sara
love this! go rafflecopter!
I have never heard of Rafflecopter before, but it is really cool! It makes signing up for giveaways so much easier…
)
I am no longer on Twitter, so those options didn’t work for me. I think this was pretty easy to use. I would be interested to know what you think–and why it may be a better method. I blog with my students–so I am always wanting to learn new tools. Thanks!
I’ve never heard of Rafflecopter before – but it looks to be an easy way to do this multiple entry thing. Worked well from this end!
i totally agree with otheres, it gets rid of scrolling which is such a putoff sometimes. wordpress has the best gadgets, but i am too new to it to be recommending! x
LOVE! I normally don’t enter giveaways if there are lots of options because I find it overwhelming. Even a few minutes of my time is very precious, so I opt out. BUT Rafflecopter makes it SO easy! Just click and it takes you exactly where you need to go. And the “done” buttons are pure genius. I think this will help you AND your readers which is priceless, if you ask me.
I’ve never seen RAfflecopter before. I really like just one entry per person…
ooh, this new way of entering is much easier. You can track which ways you have entered, particularly if you enter in stages like me!
This is a lovely giveaway!
Beertje Zonn
Never hear of this but it’s sooo much easier and more organized than the usual giveaway set up. I like it!
I am a newbie to rafflecdopter and love it only enter once, great I hope i would sure win that would be pure luck to me, love it all, thanks for the chance…….
This made it so easy to enter a great giveaway
wow rafflecopter’s pretty cool. i love seeing all my options in a check list form, right there! boom ok so i know i’ve entered 2 (and only 2 cos i don’t have a twitter). likes from this end but no recommendations because i think i’m too inexperienced at website infrastructure. i just like the organization of this site AND THE INFORMATION!!! holy grail! thank you
The last time I entered a Rafflecopter giveaway, I won, so I’m a fan
But I know nothing about plugins…
New Rafflecofter is interesting. Hope it is lucky for me to get teh great prizes in the giveaway!
This is a great idea and I like that it has everything in one place.
Thanks for the great giveaway.
I like the layout- clear, easy to use. Great that ti is just one entry per person too.
sorry, no experience with rafflecopter. good for you for experimenting and being open to feedback!
Love the fabrics, thanks!
I don’t use “social” media, and so am excluded from a lot of contests because of that. It’s nice to be able to enter without having to “like” or “tweet” something.
I think the biggest challenge with plug ins is the fact that things display differently depending upon which browser you’re using. I’m on Chrome and this looks great and seems to work well.
love the fabric
Never used Rafflecopter, but it seems like a clever idea! Love the fabric!
i’ve never encountered that method of contest-ing before.
I have not heard of this before. Great giveaway!
This is pretty cool! Works on my smartphone so that makes it pretty easy. Thank you!
I personally don’t care for Rafflecopter at all
Looks good! Though I didn’t love how much info the Facebook “Like” was asking for so I skipped that option. I don’t use the other ones either but I can always comment. Thanks for the giveaway!
Hmmm…seems an interesting attempt to give all those entry methods sorted…Now only if it could boost my chances…lol
love how easy this is! I’ve never heard of it before.
What a beautiful prize! I appreciate being able to do this in stages as I am at school for the moment and twitter & Facebook are blocked right now.
I didn’t have much luck looking up Rafflecopter through their site. (It says by invite only when I went to check it out.) but If you don’t have to have another account in order to put your name in to win then I would use it. I don’t have a facebook or twitter page so I’m not able to do anything that requires one. Thanks for asking for our input.
Personally, I like the one entry per person…like a blog comment.
I’ve never come across this before, but what an easy way to enter.
This is pretty awesome! I never used rafflecopter before.
This seems like a very easy way of dealing with the different requirements of entering a giveaway. Hope it works.
I have no experience with Rafflecoper but so far, so good!
Love those fat quarters! Beautiful offer!
Too Muchery looks like a really interesting collection, and I like the colors used.
thanks!
I have never heard of Rafflecopter before but it seems like an easy system.
In some ways it is really cool, and I do think it is really clear to see the different ways to enter, but in the same sense, it does seem like extra steps….
Great giveaway. Not sure what the benefits are for switching to rafflecopter, except it’s a one-stop location for entering the giveaways.
i like that it takes you directly to the sites to do the requirements- FB, twitter, etc. it makes it easier and more streamlined.
What a great idea, love it!
This is so exciting! I love the fabric and would love to work with all the pieces in a great quilt.
This is so exciting! I love the fabric and would love to work with all the pieces in a great quilt. Never heard of Rafflecopter but what a great idea.
I usually only enter giveaways by leaving a comment, but it seems makes it easier for those that like to fb and twitter for giveaway entries. Rafflecopter makes it very simple.
I have had no prior experience with Rafflecopter, I don’t even know what it is.
Kinda neat way to track entries and it makes it easy to enter with less comments!
Never heard of Rafflecopter before, but like the set-up. Like others have already mentioned, it takes you where you need to go without all the scrolling etc. Two thumbs up!
Thanks, I have “none of the above”, so this is a good way to get to my only option for entering.
this is the first time I’ve heard of Rafflecopter….I LOVE IT. Makes it easy to enter and keep track of what you have entered!!
Thanks for the opportunity!
I mostly like Rafflecopter.. I only wish there was a way to comment in Rafflecopter rather than seeing what you need to do and then scrolling all the way to the bottom of the page. Maybe that’s just me being picky though.
This plugin is great! What an easy way to enter raffles and still get you guys what you need. I’ll enter way more raffles iuf everyone uses this!
That was pretty cool…nice and easy to enter whatever way you wanted.
This giveaway is the BOMB!!!!!
Great giveaway! I love this blog, read it daily (really!). Thanks for the opportunity to win the fabrics!
I like Rafflecopter. It was easy to see how to enter all the different ways and they helped you if you were not sure how to get one of the ways done. And it is easy to track which ones you have entered. And this giveaway is AMAZING! Thank you for having it and introducing rafflecopter!!
Really like this method of entry. Thanks!
I love Rafflecopter. Just wish I knew how to add info to the entries (like how do you ask for their twitter name in the extra info section, etc. I can’t figure out those kinds of extra codes.) Some of that techy stuff is beyond me! I prefer the copy and paste methods.
Never used it before. But it seems easy.
Ooh, kind of neat! Never heard of it before, it’s my first experience with Rafflecopter.
What a neat idea. Seems a simple way to enter. I love the fabric, BTW!
I like the Rafflecopter. At first I ignored blogs that used it, but now I find it pretty darn handy. I just wish I could figure out how to input stuff on my blog such as the Rafflecopter. I can’t seem to be able to comprehend html code, etc.
I also thought a box for a comment would have opened up automatically. But I love the fabric!
Never used it before, but I think it may be simpler. Thanks for the giveaway!
I have never heard of this before. Hope it works.
I kind of like this rafflecopter thing…. It seems like it makes the contest easy to keep track of for you….
I love the way you’re doing this. So much faster! Thanks for he giveaway.
Interseting way to do a raffle, Im using an older version of ie at work but it is still managing.
I think rafflecopter is rather confusing. On another blog, where there was only one entry, because rafflecopter had so many options, people were comenting multiple times. I think I did it wrong over there too and will have to go back to correct. I am sure once we get used to it, it will be a fun tool to use.
I don’t know Rafflecopter, but if I could figure it out, anyone can
Never heard of Rafflecopter, but I bet it would be a great help in processing all the comments. Don’t have any experience with the plug-ins either, but love your blog just the same … thanks for the give away!
Looks great on my XOOM tablet!
I think Rafflecopter works well! It’s easy to do, great instructions, takes little time, and I hope it all waors as smoothly on the back end when it comes to picking a winner. I’m keen to hear about your overall experience after the comp is done, I might use it on my own site.
No prior experience, but the idea seems handy.
Looks like it’s a pretty neat thing! A little bit confusing but easy to get used to I think.
Gen
I don’t have any experience with it, but it looks like a great way to increase exposure.
This is the first I’ve heard about Rafflecopter…seems like a good idea. Thanks for the chance at your generous giveaway!
I’ve tried rafflecopter out once on another blog giveaway, I think if it makes life easier, why not? But at the same time, if the blogger doesn’t use it correctly than there’s little sense in it. When I tried it before, the option to enter by leaving a comment was innacurately described in the “click for instructions” tab. And there was no comments section on the blog! So while it’s very helpful, I don’t think the blogger should leave it all entirely up to rafflecopter.
It didn’t work smoothly on my phone, but it looks like it would be good on the computer.
I don’t know that I like it because I feel like being manipulated about what I tweet and like. when I do it too much it almost seems like spam and people wouldn’t notice anyway.
Haven’t used it before but seems like a good idea!
Not fond of rafflecopter but I’m throwing my name in the hat. Thanks for a chance to win.
twelve30{at}gmail{dot}com
First time I have used rafflecopter and so far I like it. Easily keeps track of how I choose to share and let’s the “comments” on the blog post be more interesting to read than just “I tweeted”. I am a fan of technology making my life easier, not more complicated, and rafflecopter seems to do that.
As for the fabric – beautiful! It is really all about the fabric, isn’t it?
I’ve never seen Rafflecopter yet but if it makes it easy for the blog, all good.
Rafflecopter was easy to use!
I have never used Rafflecopter, but it seems really easy and better than some of the others I’ve seen!
I think this whole thing was pretty awesome!! I have never seen anything where you can do it all right from the same site!! That is great! I had never heard of it before, but as of now, I am impressed.
I have no other suggestions; love the fabrics though!
I’ve never seen this interface but I like that it is very clear about the ways to enter & whether I have completed them. Thanks for all the giveaway madness!
Wow this makes it easy!
I am new to Rafflecopter but I like how easy it was to complete the entries
Smiles~Beth
I’ve never used Rafflecopter before, I really like it. It is straight forward and easy to use. No suggestions.
I liked this widget. It was easy to use.
I really liked the gadget. It made it much easier and quicker to enter multiple ways. Thanks for the great giveaway!
First time to use Rafflecopter — love, love it!
Wow, Rafflecopter makes it SO easy to enter a giveaway in different ways. I like that it is all in one place. Thanks for taking the time to look for ways to make our blogging experience even better. Sew, Mama, Sew is already one of my favorites!
I really like Rafflecopter. It’s very orderly, and if I’ve already entered a giveaway and happen to find my way back to the page, I won’t inadvertently enter again.
I have never heard of it, but then I can’t even manage facebook so am probably not the person to ask!
Rafflecopter is a great concept!
Never heard of it … but I’m not too tech savvy and often have trouble getting my computer to let me enter giveaways!
Yummy yummy autumn fabric. I have lots of opinions on fabrics but not blogging myself i have no experience with plug ins and giveaway software stuff/thingy.
Wow — I hadn’t heard of this widget, but like it. Thanks for the chance to win!
It’s okay, but I really don’t like having so many ways to enter. Just commenting seems enough!
had never heard of this widget before, but I like it a lot!
Not sure if the facebook part of it works – I posted, and clicked the button to say I did it, and clicked the part that says I like this post, but it’s not showing up on my feed. I don’t “do” twitter – too much technology gives me a headache.
Rafflecopter does simplify the entry process, but it also makes it easier for people to just enter the giveaway and not actually read the post. The giveaways I host usually have a greater meaning behind them than just a prize or advertisement, so I want folks to read the post.
I do however like that it clearly and conveniently keeps up with all the entries and prevents spam.
I really like this concept. I hadn’t come across it before but I think it is great
Thanks for the chance to win
Looks like a great way to give away the goods!
I like simplicity, it hurts my brain less. I tried it and I liked it!!! Yes, my DD is watching Yo Gabba Gabba right now.
Even though it was simple, I still read the entire post. I only follow blogs that I want to read and I only enter giveaways for things that I really want, so it worked well for me.
Of course, I’ll sing Rafflecopter’s praises to the high heavens if I win!!! Thank you for the opportunity!!
Hmmm. . . I was able to click did this on the blog post and it entered me before I actually wrote anything.
I really like the Rafflecopter entry process. Super easy! I don’t usually like to jump through a lot of hoops to enter, but I entered a couple of ways in this one.
PS Those fabrics are AWESOME!! I’d not seen it before!
This is really interesting- I’ve never seen a layout like that. I really like it, because it facilitates doing all the things that need to be done to enter.
I ‘think’ I like it, it almost seems too easy, I’m going to have to go back to my Twitter and F/B to see if it really worked
I hadn’t heard of Rafflecopter previously. It worked pretty cool and was easy. I don’t like some of the apps that facebook uses that require you to let them access your profile info..won’t do those but just using the “like” button is ok. Simple is good.
I’ve never heard or used Rafflecopter until now. Interesting idea…
Never heard of Rafflecopter before. I think it has pros and cons.
Since I don’t tweet, twitter, and am hardly ever on facebook, I’m left with only one option… and that is to tell you that these fabrics are fantastic and a 1 in 1545 chance isn’t too bad, right?
I use FB for purely social interactions and don’t tweet, but Rafflecopter looks good in theory. love Toomuchery and thank you for offering it as a giveaway.
I watched the Rafflecopter info video and found it very interesting. I can see where it would be beneficial to giveaway sponsors, just from an administrative viewpoint. From an entrant’s viewpoint, it is easy to use and nice to know that Rafflecopter verifies that the entry requirements have been met.
I like the ease of “checking” off items, but I’m not a big fan of having multiple entries by tweeting and using FB. I don’t think it’s all that great of a way to get FB fans either, as most people will just “unlike” the page after the giveaway is over.
This is my first encounter with Rafflecopter. It was definitely easy but I don’t tweet or follow anything on Twitter so O can’t say how those options work. Thank you for having this giveaway…it would be fund to win all of those fat quarters.
Rafflecopter seems neat. This is the first time I’ve seen it. The concept seems very simple and uses cookies, if people don’t try to find ways to abuse it, I mean, in traditional giveaways, who knows who could just keep adding comment posts to increase their chances of winning — but by using this, in theory, it would then make it very fair!
But agreed, content is always better than giveaways. I never win anything (thought I try), but with great tutorials and features, I’m always a winner! Thanks for the great posts!
This is quite cool. I just signed up to be a user and I love the way you can set up a giveaway.
NOT a fan of all giveaways all the time – but it’s fun to have them as part of great content. You do it well!
I have signed up for Rafflecopter, but have not used it yet. I think it’s a good idea, but with the number of steps to complete an entry, I also think it takes just as long as leaving, say, 4 comments. But I don’t mind entering a giveaway a few different ways as long as it’s a prize I’m truly interested in winning!
I just wanted to see if this works!
That was a very straight foward experience. Thanks. And ps… those fat quarters are drool worthy.
I tried to respond here once…and it did not let me? Hmmm. Had something clever to say too……
The fabric looks great! Don’t know too much about technology but this seems OK. I’ll have to try several more times before I really know.
never heard of rafflecopter, but the fabrics are so pretty!
Well, as a contest entrant it was very easy to use and I like that! On the other hand, it’s a little impersonal and if I were new to SMS (which I’m not), it didn’t encourage me to learn anything about the site…I didn’t actually visit the FB page or look at the twitter feed, too busy clicking and clicking back here to enter.
I like having choices of how to enter a giveaway and appreciate not having to go through too many hoops. I always appreciate the giveaways, but that is not my sole purpose for visiting a blog. I like the clean and organized look of Rafflecopter.
I think there are pros and cons to using rafflecoper; however, in FB, I can’t see where I “liked” the post so I’m weary of using the FB application again. But twitter was easy (however, if you have a private twitter handle, outsiders aren’t going to be able to see the tweet so you can’t verify that you tweeted the contest).
First time with rafflecopter but it seems pretty easy, great giveaway so I’m in for this one thanks
Love the new way to enter. And LoVe that fabric line. Very Cute! I will make an effort to post more comments because I really do appreciate all the content you guys put together. You’ve given me a lot more confidence to take on sewing projects I would have otherwise been too chicken to attempt. Thanks and keep it coming!
I see the appeal but it is being very glitchy for me right now and I will say that while streamlined it feels very mechanical and distant.. not my favorite but not awful.
I don’t really have any experience with rafflecopter, but I do like how you can enter various ways with a checklist that gives you the instructions on what to do.
Seems simple enough and all in one place! Great idea!
I kinda like this Rafflecopter thing just because it seems to make the FB and Twitter option slightly easier with the whole click here thing. And you don’t have to read through a whole paragraph about the different ways to enter. Instead each way is separated, almost like bullet points, which make them easier to differentiate and choose.
Thanks so much for the giveaway! I also do giveaways, so I wanted to try this out. I like the look of it, but unsure if was easier than the more usual way to enter. Seemed to be more going back & forth to verify my entries.
I’ve never heard of this either, but I really like the format! It’s so easy to be able to just click a few buttons to enter in the different ways rather than going back and forth through each format manually. What a great find, thanks for letting us know about it!
i don’t have any experience with rafflecopter, but it seems like a great idea.
I personally rarely enter giveaways because of all the hoops to jump through. The worst is when there’s a million sponsors and you have to go like each page. This new setup is a lot easier.
Hello, thanks for hosting this give-away. I really l like the Rafflecopter way of entering my name in your generous draws, I’ve never seen it used before and it convinced me to re-explore that old old twitter account!
Thanks again .. Julie
my first time using it
It would be better if the “click here for instructions” link took you to the comment box. There are a lot of comments on this post.
I have never used it but I like the way this works!
I like it. Much easier for participants than the traditional method of doing something and then posting a comment about it. Also much easier when the contest has multiple entries available.
I’m not a blogger, but a blog reader. I’ve never heard of rafflecopter, but read your article today and what er is best for you. This does seem easy enough, though.
This is my first experience with this format…it works. I still like simple one action entries, whether it’s leaving a comment or liking on facebook.
This is certainly a new way to enter a give away. I have never been to a blog that used rafflecopter. Took me three times to spell it right. I love the fabrics!
The organization is awesome but the jumping through the hoops…not so much. Ordinarily, I will just skip any giveaway that has multiple entry steps.
I haven’t heard of rafflecopter. At first glance, it seems to simplify the process, which in theory could mean more participation.
I like that the ways of entry are explicitly laid out.
Rafflecopter is cool, it keeps everything very neat and I think it actually provides a way to track that people actually did it and aren’t just saying “tweeted” etc. It will keep people honest, I think!
I recently hosted a giveaway and didn’t expect visitors to “jump through hoops.” I see no point whatsoever in making someone “follow.” What does that prove? That you’re an egoist? Those inflated numbers prove absolutely nothing. Just one comment on a blog post is sufficient. I feel sorry for people who choose not to Facebook or Twitter and therefore feel left out of opportunities to win. I think this Rafflecopter is a great vehicle for ensuring that each entrant gets the same opportunity as the next. It definitely lessens the number of entrant errors, and it’s definitely better for “No reply bloggers,” who even when “forewarned” often enter giveaways anyway.
I like this because it plainly tells me if I did it or not. I sometimes wonder if my entry will be counted. I however, do not use twitter. I’d rather the main form of entry be a blog comment, as it is something everyone can do.
Thanks for teh great giveaway!
Hmm, I am not very techie and this is the first time that I have heard of rafflecopter. Seems easy enough, though, since I do not like the multiple entries thing. I do not use twitter and hate to sign up just for the chance to win and I can only “like” so many pages on Facebook before I completely ignore them all because there are so many! My favorite method of entering a contest is still to leave a comment
I don’t know about rafflecopter. I don’t like tweeting and facebooking and blogging about giveaways but I will comment to enter. All the other things seem like jumping through hoops and I’m doing someone’s work by advertising them.
Ugh, I think it’s gimmicky. I hate having to scroll down all the comments to post a new one. Then I have to scroll back up to the rafflecopter box? There should be a way to comment up there. I like how design mom does giveaways. Comments only. Or coolmompicks, answer a question and send an email.
It is always nice to have it clearly stated what is required to be eligible for the give away. There could be fewer steps.
I LOVE Rafflecopter, both from the perspective of the one entering and the one hosting. It simplifies so much for me on both ends!
This is the first I’ve heard of Rafflecopter- I’m going to have to explore it more. It looks like a neat idea however!! You might make me get on Facebook after all!
Never heard of Rafflecopter before. It looks interesting. Is there an easier way to comment without scrolling though all the comments to get to the bottom form? Then scrolling back up to enter the raffle? Thanks!
Oh I like your new system! it’s interesting interface!
I don’t know anything about Rafflecopter…but LOVE the fabric!
Hmmm Looks interesting, not all that good with giveaways, and I’m not on a million different social media sites but I guess it would work for people who are. I certainly find I get more traffic to my site when I post links to my blog on my personal FB page so why not mix it up.
I’ve used Rafflecopter with other giveaways and I really like it. SO much better than having to do a zillion blog comments.
I appreciate having the options and it’s a very clear graphic way to communicate the choices.
I don’t know how I feel. I’ll get use to Rafflecopter if it becomes the way things are done but I don’t facebook or twitter and really don’t want to start.
Interesting concept. I like the checklist – definitely a lot easier than scrolling up and down and linking all over the place. I did, however, notice that the checklist immediately drew my eyes away from the blog’s content and directly to the contest. I don’t think that is the result the blogger is looking for. Maybe it’s just the sheer size of the checklist, but it might be something to consider. Thanks!
Rafflecopter looks like a very cool and organized way of doing things! I like it! But I LOVE the giveaway!
Rafflecopter seems pretty cool. I will try it on my blog. I love WordPress and recommend it to my web clients all the time.
I’ve never used it but I don’t enter much giveaways, especially if there is too much steps; this presentation looks great and simple. Thanks
I like this idea of a check list, and that I don’t have to jump through so many hoops, just a simple at one glance idea of what I need to do to enter into the giveaway. I also love the fabric!
Yes, I like Rafflecopter. It definitely simplifies the contest entry process. As a side note, I prefer to post comments to blogs as opposed to “liking” them on Facebook.
Sorry, I have no experience of these plugins, but I do like how you have made it very easy and given clear instructions about each of the different ways to enter the competition. And those fabrics are soo gorgeous!
I think this tool works fine, but I don’t think you really need it… just my two cents.
I like it. I normally don’t like giveaway posts b/c I feel like i’m scrolling here and there and opening new windows etc. But this is all in one place. It’s nice.
I agree with making it easy to choose your favorite way to enter. Personally, I have less than zero interest in Twitter and I keep Facebook for friends only. So commenting on the blog is perfect.
Never used rafflecopter. It seems easy, and fairly sleek, though!
This is the first time that I have used Rafflecopter and it seemed easy enough. I come to your blog for the great information that I receive here and if I win a give away, great, if not, I am still a winner for all of the content that I have taken in.
Sorry I have never used any of the web tool. I prefer just making comments since I am not a huge fan of FB (it’s a time thief) and don’t use it.
I haven’t heard of Rafflecopter until just reading this post. I don’t enter too many drawings because, like you said, they make you go to every social media site there is and post in your blog and come back to respond that you did it all… along with 10 pushups. I don’t have a blog… does that mean I don’t qualify? I don’t know; the only thing I should be doing is the pushups for free fat quarters. That would be motivation enough to get some beautiful fabric!
504 spray adhesive, I love it!
