21,000 Fans Celebration: Giveaway #1 Flea Market Fancy
Somehow we missed it when we reached 20,000 fans on Facebook, so this weekend we’re celebrating 21,000! Running a giveaway on Facebook is, however, tricky business with their rules and conditions and ambiguity, so we’ll have to do it here.
You’ve probably heard that Free Spirit is re-releasing Flea Market Fancy by Denyse Schmidt. We have a pack of 4 fat 1/8ths to give away. Tell us in the comments here either your favorite print from the group or which fabric collection you wish would be reprinted. We’ll select a winner Monday morning.
Be sure the stop by the SMS Facebook page for a great coupon to the shop good through Sunday only.

I would love to see Anna Maria Horner’s Good Folks fabric be reprinted. I came on the fabric scene just a little too late….
I wish they would reprint Anna Griffin’s Riley collection!!
I’ve been waiting so long for Flea Market Fancy to be reprinted it seems – so that’s the collection that I wish would be reprinted…and it is!!!
Well, I love all of them but my favorite all purpose fabric is the seedling print in any of the colors. I have some from the original release and I still use it sparingly. Can’t wait to stock up from the new release. Thanks!

I don’t know the name of it, but I like the print that is gray with daisies on it.
It’s hard to pick one favorite but if I had to it would be the posies in grey.
Although I love all the new colors and designs, I think Posie in Turquoise is my favorite!!!

I find it much easier to say that I would LOVE to have Heather Ross’s Mendocino fabrics reprinted.
My favorite print has always been “Posie in Brown” but I love the whole collection in both color ways.
i wish they’d reprinted the green posies…
as of now, i’d say my favorite fabric from the reprint is the grey seeds or maybe the blue posies. and a from little things reprint would be welcomed.

I have only been collecting fabric for about a year now, so I’ve missed plenty, including this one. There is a fabric that looks like a paint by number with deer on it. Not sure what it’s called or who designed it, but I’d like to have some!

I scored a scrap bag from a yard sale and it was filled with blue flea market fancy.. the one with the coral flowers and the blue background is definitely my favorite… i only paid $2 for the bag of scraps and i’m sad to see it go…

My fave print from the group doesn’t seem to have a name on the Free Spirit site — it’s simply “PWDS022.Grey”. But it is the grey version of the print included in this post. I think grey is overlooked and can be quite beautiful.

I would love to see Mendocine reprinted, or Far, Far Away I, simply because I missed out on both of those since I wasn’t really back into my sewing at that point…

I really like the Medallions in Red and all 3 of the Bouquet prints. It’s always fun when great line is reprinted, both for those of us who may have originally missed out and others who can’t wait to get their hands on more.

When I first started doing quilts I used the line Flea Market Fancy to make a quilt for my daughter for Christmas and she has had so many people compliment on the fabrics. I have always loved the fabrics but never had any for myself. I am so glad they are finally reprinting it. You wonder why it took so long for them to get around to it. Yeah.

From the Flea Market Fancy Line I like the leaves and dot pattern in all the colors. A discontinued line I would love to see come back would be Suzy Ultman’s Metro Cafe for Robert Kaufman. I missed out on the silverware and appliances prints.

I don’t know the name, but I like the design that looks like new plant seedlings popping out of the ground. I like it best in the gray and green backgrounds.

Other than the Flea Market Fancy, I would love love love to see Heather Ross’s Lightening bugs line reprinted, especially the goldfish. I have been hoarding it for years- I can’t bear to cut into it!
I really love the medallion prints, especially the green. It’s bright and fresh! I am in the process of redecorating my kitchen in greens and oranges. This fabric would work great in curtains!

I don’t know the name of one fabric, but it’s the paint by number one with a deer on it. Also – I really wish they would re-print the Heather Ross goldfish fabric, with little bagged and named fishies. Love that fabric.

I like the Posies Grey
This collection by Denise Schmidt is one of my very favorites!! I have the brown and blue smaller print and the gold larger print, and honestly love them all! And I love that it’s called County Fair, as the fair is the highlight of my summers in Minnesota! I’ve only missed one of my county fairs in 34 years.
