I did it! I tried out your tutorial and I made a LOVE quilt turned out great. I’d really like to show you but don’t know how. Anyway it was my first tutorial. Thank you for the inspiration.

Sarah–though Tula Pink does have a LOVE quilt pattern, I do not own it nor did I use anyone else’s work to make my letters. Every letter drawn by me and I was not in anyway trying to rip off another designer’s idea. The idea for this pattern was from a swap on Flickr. My partner liked the looks of these “love” blocks made by another quilter http://www.flickr.com/photos/pwrshopmom/5837686949/ I created my own letters and drafted the entire alphabet soon after. There are very few “new” ideas in quilting!

Thanks so much. I’m a complete novice at paper piecing so this was a fantastic tutorial. I really enjoyed making it. One small suggestion, that it didn’t mention that the paper pattern is back to front and the first piece of material placed is back to back on the paper pattern. I got confused about which side of the material was which. Anyway, once again, thanks so much.
