A: Please pin the larger image. (Click through to the product page.)
Q: What if one of my fabric selections is out of stock or says it’s not available?

When I am on a fabric´s product page, and I click my “Pin it” button, I keep getting this error: “Sorry, couldn’t find any pinnable images or video on this page.” Know anything about that?
Thanks.
Yey, I really enjoy doing these- this week mine is based on bold orange, green and teal fabrics that would make great retro picnic blanket prints… http://pinterest.com/kerryw/sew-mama-sew-fatquarteridol-meet-me-at-the-picnic/

I love vintage pictures of old-time picnics, where ladies wore their pearls and gloves and brought their best pies and fried chicken. I chose my fabrics to reflect that vintage feel. And you have to have gingham at a picnic. It’s a must!

I went for graphic and geometric. Couldn’t leave out a great gingham! These blues and greens are so calming. Great for a summer picnic {or dreaming of one while at work on a Monday}!

Coral and teal are a fun twist on the patriotic colors of Independence Day… and I made sure to throw in the (completely necessary) gingham and marching ants. Paired with a bright white cotton, these prints would make a very cheerful spread on a sunny day!
http://pinterest.com/artsyandi/sew-mama-sew-fatquarteridol-meet-me-at-the-picnic-/
And a second set of florals in browns, pinks and oranges. Reminds me of a warm summer sunset… MY favorite time for a picnic.
Ok, just had to make a second board. This one is fun with the bright pops of color against a dark navy background. It’d be the star of the picnic!

The first thing I thought about when I saw picnic was a plaid blanket. The Grace’s Garden Cool Dusk from the Reunion collection has a gingham pattern in the background. This fabric combined with the Daisy Dots in Green and Turquoise from Flea Market Fancy inspired me this bundle:

I went with traditional picnic holiday colors (red, white and blue for upcoming Memorial Day!) Instead of the checkered table cloth, I went with a more modern cross-hatch/weave and of course there are some yummy veggies, pesky critters, lovely flowers, and maybe some flying geese! A little linen to round out the meal.

It took a little bit of work, but I think I’ve come up with a collection that I really like and think work well together. I hope you all like it too!
So, without further adieu, here’s my entry.

I made one this week too! I made mine to *look* like gingham – which is the ultimate picnic symbol – rather than actually using gingham!

This is the best contest idea ever!
(I hope this doesn’t duplicate post – or that I’m not too late! I posted last night but nothing seems to have happened. Apologies if I’m too late / duplicating!)

Here’s mine–red gingham, flowers, and primary colors to make a picnic quilt!

I think of blue jeans, green grass and gingham cloths and tiny little ant visitors along with plenty of sun when I think of picnics. This red, yellow, green and blue combo would make a great picnic quilt!

Here’s #2 for me. I was thinking of Lemonade on a warm summer day. Hence the warm palette.

pink and green with a dash of red

My theme was inspired by the Pink Lemonaide that my Grandma use to make for me. As I added the colors, I couldn’t help but think of a delicate little fancy picnic with glazed peachy pink cupcakes and sprinkles that the ladies back in the 1960′s might have had had by the lake under a tree. Enjoy! This was a fun contest!

Ok, so now I have a question.
This is my first week participating and I may have missed some things when the rules were initially posted.
My question is this: Sale Fabrics, 100% not allowed? Because from what others are posting, that’s what it seems like. However, when I read the few frequently asked questions above, it said:
“Q: What if one of my fabric selections is out of stock or says it’s not available?
A: It’s OK if the fabric says out of stock or not available if it is in the Coming Soon section. If it is in the sale section, please choose something else.”
So, given that answer, I understood it that as long as Sale Fabrics were in stock and available, they were allowed. Was I right in my understanding, or is everyone else right in their saying that we’re not allowed to use sale fabrics? If everyone else is right, big bummer to me, as I used some. ::sigh::
Here’s mine. I based it off of the Caitlin Spring LAWN which I think has a vintage linen feel.

I loved the birds in the Sugar Hill line, so I went with those colors and nice spring feelings
And here is my second board… more of a Mod vibe.

Yes, Anne, you are right! If the fabric is available, you can use it! Only if it is out of stock and in the sale section, don’t use it because we won’t be getting it again.
Yay!! Thanks Kristin! I thought that was the case!
