I have learned by trial and error, but in the past 7 years I have really taken advantage of web tutorials, youtube videos, and sewing books. As a teacher myself I can really see the advantages of the Craftsy format. I am interested in the free class as well as I am intimidated by machine sometimes, lol.

I am a self-taught sewer who learns as she sews. So far, written tutorials with pics have been the way to go with me. But ever since I’ve learned of Craftsy I’ve wanted to try one of their classes. I hope I win!

This sounds perfect for how I learn… Step by step, with all the info available to go back over if I missed anything! I love to see visuals – pics or video – sewing is such a visual thing! Especially as being self taught I’m not familiar with all the terminology.

I like a little combo of tutorials and figuring things out on my own. I like the challenge of recreating patterns, changing things to my liking along the way.

I learn the *best* with a sewing partner to go over the instructions with me…I have a friend that sews with me and we love tackling new, more advanced, projects together. I think an online class would be the next best thing!

I need detailed instructions and lots and lots of pictures. I’ll go over a move many times in my head before I actually stitch.

I like a bit of written instruction as well as visual direction so I always look our for patterns that have both. I’m fairly new at sewing and altho I’m getting the hang of it for crafty things (quilts, bags etc) I’m finding clothes quite difficult. I just don’t get some of the stuff intuitively. So this class would be fab to try!

I like Video classes as I find I’m a visual learner and need to watch several times!
