These are the coffee themed placemats I made for my coffee-loving son. The center fabric is coffee beans on black and the border fabric is also the backing fabric. What makes them unique is the "Coffee Pot" applique I added to each one (set of 4). This applique is actually a scanned picture of the former "Coffee Pot" Restaurant in Bedford, PA. Built in 1927, the 18-ft. high Coffee Pot was originally a lunch place adjoining a gas station. In 1937 it became a bar, with a hotel built in behind it. Preservationists restored the Coffee Pot in 2004 and it was moved across the street to the Bedford Fairgrounds. I made these as a little reminder of home for my son who now lives in Florida. Here's my link:

I've uploaded photos to my flickr photo stream (http://www.flickr.com/photos/17745362@N08/8057767832/
and will have a blog post up on Sunday. My table is set for Canadian Thanksgiving, with a strip-pieced table runner made from French General's Maison de Garance fabrics. I made fabric apples with the fabric as well, and pinned name cards on each one to use as place markers. The napkins are vintage - a wedding gift to my in-laws over 50 years ago.

How awesome these prizes are! I would love to win them, especially they rotary cutter and Matt! I would like to say, I am a new "crafter" and I am having a hard time getting enough supplies on a limited budget. Good Luck to who ever wins it!

My tablescape can be found here: http://www.marcigirldesigns.com/1/post/2012/10/the-busiest-table-setting-that-you-ever-did-see.html

A simple patchwork tablecloth, handmade napkins, a great handmade centerpiece. What can be better than that?
