Yes, there are some amazingly creative talents in blog land! We all feed off of each other's inspiring work. It's a chain reaction!

Great post, this is so interesting. Doing a craft fair seems so intimidating; this is really helpful info. (Maybe someday I could do something like this....)

What a fantastic, informative, and funny post! I grew up going to art & craft fairs with my parents, and it's so true that you can make beautiful work, but that doesn't necessarily mean you can sell it well.

Thanks for mentioning me in your post! Lots of information here: If more artists shared their experiences, it would be a godsend for the first-timers. I'm no first-timer, but I'm aways looking for ways to better display and market my work, so thanks for sharing!

What great information! Thank you so much for sharing. I have always thought that demo-ing was a good idea at shows, and you have set down the all the reasons why.

great post! Lots of helpful tips - I'm just starting out and set to do 2 shows in the next 6 weeks. Last year I did 2 and found myself not quite knowing how to engage potential buyers without feeling pushy about it. Doing a demonstration is definitely an ice-breaker! Also the informative signage is great - I'll be implementing a lot of these ideas. Thanks, Candy!

Thank you so much for sharing. I have been participating in craft shows for many years and this was a great write-up of tips and suggestions. One comment I always seem to get at shows is "You MADE all of this?". Sometimes it is very hard not to roll my eyes and say "duh" (especially since the name of my business is Handmade on Hartwell) but it is always an opportunity to explain to people what I love to do. And maybe get somebody to start sewing! Thanks again for an excellent post.
