Very pretty! I love learning new quilt piecing techniques and this is a new one to me, yay!
I’m making a quilt with this pattern as well! I have been making it since I was about 19 I think. I’m 26 now. I’ve only seriously gotten into it in the last year or two though. Yes, I am slow but it is a GREAT take along project. I am paper piecing it by hand so it’s quite small and easy to work on when you are waiting in a waiting room or during your lunch break.
I love the colors that you chose! Beautiful.
Jenny
I remember my great-grandmother making quilts like this! Love it!
Nice tutorial–straightforward and easy to follow. I’ve been working on these and now I have more of a method. Thanks!
It’s beautiful! I can’t wait to get started on one of my own!
I’ve been wanting to try to make some hexagons, so pretty! But I’m just starting to make my very first quilt, so this will probably have to wait a bit till I get better.
This is really pretty!
That is amazing. Its really a masterpiece!
So pretty! I would love to make a quilt like this someday (I’m a beginner quilter).
What an inspiring tutorial! Those tiny whip stitches make me want to run, not walk, to the sewing room. But first I’m off to search the Net for Quilt Patis!
Amazing! Thanks for sharing.
So pretty, Thanks
This quilt is lovely. I like your blog too!
Wonder tutorial …. Thank you!!
This is really cute, and a different way to utilize scraps! Thanks for showing this one!
That is so pretty and sweet. Grandma would be proud!
Really great – I just love a Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt!
Wow, Gretchen! I’ve never seen a more beautiful quilt! Even though it’s meant to be old fashioned, it really is right in line with some of the modern designs for bedrooms. I hope I don’t go over the top in saying, “You are a Quilt Genius.”
I’d never seen a quilt pati before — that would save a ton of time, which is obviously needed to do all the sewing on this quilt. The quilt is beatiful and very dear.
Love this. I’ve been wanting to hand piece hexes for a while and now know I need some of those quilt patis!
It’s beautiful! And maybe one day I’ll try it but I don’t know that I have the patience for it now :p
I just LOVE this. Great tut and very pretty too. Thank you.
I have been making grandmothers flower garden for the last 3 yrs. (not working on it all this time) but now I’m putting it
together I have many colors, attaching flowers with ‘brown’ I am going to finish it this winter ..T
Love your colors! Have you finished it yet?
