November 19 ~ Tech Gifts

You know how boring (and expensive) things like camera bags and CD holders can be? No more! Now you can protect that iPod with flair, and choose fabrics to match your recipient’s music, photography and personal style.
iPod Cozy
Julie created her iPod Cozy Tutorial for several generations of iPods so you’ll find great cutting measurements and step-by-step visuals via her blog, Julieree. Julie is a graphic designer and you can see a great, sophisticated aesthetic in her project. She writes, “I am interested in pretty much all fiber and paper crafts–I particularly enjoy quilting, sewing clothes, and designing stationery.”
Camera Cozy
Lenore shows how to make your camera happy with her Camera Cozy Tutorial on the Evil Mad Scientist Laboratories site (check out their fun and often slightly wacky project archives).
CD “Poket”
Irene’s CD “Poket” Tutorial via her blog, Mushroom Villagers, is a unique, easy and rewarding project sure to be welcomed for any car, tote or home.
iPod Cozy
Candace from Craft Daisies received an iPod for Christmas last year and wanted something cute to protect it on the go. She fashioned this “fabulous and functional” iPod Cozy Tutorial with felt.

I have tried the camera cozy – the first try showed me that the pattern would need revision before it fit my camera well. I have not made a second attempt, but I nevertheless love the idea and hope to have time to try again.
I love the cd holder, and know just who is getting one from me this year!!! :)
