Explore the techniques of patchwork sewing, appliqué, and machine quilting through thirty-five simple and stunning projects. With beautiful photographs, step-by-step instructions, and detailed diagrams, the pouches and handbags, quilts and pillowcases, tissue cases and pot holders are perfect projects for beginner and intermediate sewers.

    Posted: November 21st, 2009 at 9:06 am →

Aprons! I’m making matching aprons for my mother-in-law, sister-in-law and 6 year old niece. I decided to use a brown denim to make a full apron and I’m accenting it with bright blue and green pears from a novelty cotton I had stashed away. As cute as half aprons are, I find that being short, I need more protection from the full size apron; I suspect my gift recipients will as well.

I love giving baking goodies for X-mas. Last year I made up recipe cards of the cookie recipes I used and tied them up with ribbons and attached vintage cookie cutters to the ribbon ends.
this year will be homemade candy in a fabric basket.

I just found this site last night, and I’ve been spending all day in class pretending to pay attention while actually browsing through all the different ideas (don’t tell my professors). I can’t wait to try the apron in particular; it looks so sharp and professional.
Amazing web site. Absolutely amazing :D Keep it up.
