Create & Celebrate

A quick bunch of items before Quilting Month fun fills up our posting calendar!:

  • Edwina writes, “We have two pet sheep that have just been shorn, Rosie and Bear. I am always meaning to do something with the wool but never do, so I would like to give the wool away to any crafty critters out there that would like some. Hopefully it might be of use to someone in the world, all I am asking if for people to pay for the postage, but will post anywhere. There are more details on my blog.” Edwina has both black and white wool and can be found via her Little Snoring blog.
  • Cheyenne writes, “I’m having an embroidery contest on my blog… I think it’ll be really fun to see what people come up with!” Entries are due by February 4th. For more details visit Cheyenne’s My Little Sewing Blog.
  • Kristine wants to share that she’s just written her first tutorial. She writes, “It’s for a custom checkbook cover… Great for making our new year’s financial resolutions a little happier looking!” You can find the tutorial on her blog, Mudmuffins and Woogiemonsters. Thanks, Kristine!
  • Katie writes, “I wanted to share that I am hosting a Martha Stewart Good Things swap on my blog See Katie Sew. For all the Martha fans out there, this swap will focus on the craft ‘Good Things.’ There are more details about the swap itself and sign ups on my blog.” Sign-ups end January 25th so head on over to Katie’s blog if you think you might be interested!
  • Amy is an illustrator. She writes, “Robert Kaufman just released a new collection of mine called Creatures and Critters. I sewed up a little frog with the fabrics and did a give away. It was so well received that I posted a free pattern on my blog…” Visit Red Fish Circle for the free frog pattern.
