| Mod style and clean lines give this tunic it’s “annatude.” The back has a unique button closure. Add the belt for an hourglass shape, and the sweet fabric flower makes for an artistic accent piece to ginger up your Anna Tunic. (from the pattern)

| I love the look of this tunic. The yoke with the buttons in the back adds an interesting and stylish touch to what would otherwise be just a basic tunic. I think this look would flatter many body types. The tunic is fully lined and all seams are enclosed for a very professional finished look. |

| Amy’s instructions were very clear and concise. I think both new and advanced sewers would be able to understand her explanations very easily. |

| All of the pattern pieces are included on one tissue sheet and easily identifiable. The mini dress, tunic, and cami all use the same pattern pieces. |

| Those who are new to sewing clothes might find the gathering stitches and the amount of curves to sew a little difficult.

| ~ Since several different looks are included in this one pattern, I recommend tracing the pattern from the tissue sheet so that you keep all of your pattern pieces intact.
~ Make sure you transfer all the markings from the pattern pieces to the fabric. ~ Go slow. There are several curves in this design which are a bit more challenging to sew than straight seams. ~ Make a muslin first. This will allow you to test out the pattern in a cheaper fabric and allow you to alter it to make it fit better.

| Amy Butler has made another outstanding pattern. I really like this tunic! The tunic and mini dress can be worn with a long sleeve shirt underneath in the colder months and sleeveless in the spring and summer for a year-round look. | |||

I just made the tunic with cap sleeves this weekend and I LOVE it! As someone just beginning to sew again after learning in when I was about 9 (4-H class) I only needed a little help with the zipper and the cap sleeves. I gathered the cap sleeves a little too much and need to redo the binding around them but can’t wait to make it one of my mainstay fashion pieces!!

Excellent pattern review! I’ve been thinking about trying this Amy Butler pattern, but wasn’t sure about it, since I’ve heard both positive and negative about Amy Butler patterns. This one sounds do-able for me. Love the fabric choice!

Liz, I use what I think is called “Pattern Perfect” paper I bought from Joann’s (in the interfacing section). It is thin enough that you can lay it on top of the pattern piece and just trace out the pattern. I’m sure there are a lot of different ways to trace the pattern, but that has been the easiest for me so far.
