Create & Celebrate
 |
- Elizabeth from Oh, Fransson! designed a doorstop pattern for our Handmade Holidays in November. One of her nine patch doorstops is now featured in the May 2008 issue of Hallmark magazine and on their website too!
|
 |
- Anna was inspired by Quilting Month to create her very first quilt! Learn more about it (she feels like she has a whole new bed now!) on Anna’s forty-two roads blog.
|
 |
- Carrie writes, “One of my fiber art pieces was selected for the Northern Colorado Weaver’s Guild: Fiber Celebration 2008 set to open in Fort Collins in May. The piece I submitted is called “Lost In Thought” and includes hand-felted wool, paint, wool scraps and hand-embroidery. This is the first juried show I have applied for.” Find more of Carrie’s work on her Whole Cloth Designs blog.

- Jessica would like to direct you to two fun things she’s recently discovered: 1. The new CraftPad blog and 2. The Sparkle Power Sew-Along which is a new sew-along group started by Candace at sparkle power…
 |
- It just so happens that Candace also wrote in! She elaborates on the group: “I recently formed the sparkle power sew along group as a way to feel accountable for completing projects & a way to connect with other crafters. We are getting ready to focus on clothing & accessories for the months of April & May. It’s a great time to start on some spring/summer clothes for yourself or the little ones. Information on joining us is found on the blog: spsewalong.blogspot.com.”
|
- Jennifer is having a giveaway on her Life On the Roof blog in honor of her 500th post. You can comment anywhere on her blog to enter. Congrats on the blog milestone, Jennifer!
- Tammy has a new tutorial for sewing cloth napkins on her Tammy’s Times blog, written with the “beginner seamstress in mind!”
 |
- Doreen made her first dress without a pattern or tutorial! It was an Easter dress for her daughter and was a resounding success. Doreen wrote about the process and finished product on her My Creativity Journal blog.

What creativity! I LOVE the doorstop pattern but all these are equally wonderful!
I really like the photo stencil idea and I love the way it looks on the tote bag. I’ll have to give that a try.
bravo doreen, your daughter’s dress is wonderful!
What a great bunch of talented people! WOW.
What fun ideas! I am so happy to see all the fun thing people are making – and boy oh boy are all the fabrics and color ideas cute!!!
great ideas-I love the photo silhouettes!
All of those are so creative and beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing!
LOVE the quilt and door stop … and what a fun stencil idea for a bag! Definitely going to bookmark a few of these ideas!
I like that last suggestion – so many ideas now of how I could use that myself. Thanks for posting about it!
The apple cyder tutorial rocked!
YEAH!!! Lots of tutorials and projects again!
Wow…thanks again for all of the great links! Have I mentioned how much I love this blog?!
Wow- thanks for the great links and ideas. I love those doorstops- I really need a doorstop for my room at school but the kids would probably muck it all up on the first day-especially with the spring rains still coming and going (wet, muddy kid shoes abound!). I’ll probably just get another hideous gray rubber one…
These are some of best looking craft projects I have seen in along time. I have never been on a blog before. There is so much great information. Thanks to all!!!
Wonderful ideas. I especially love the quilt and the little dress.
I liked the napkin tutorial, too, and have also seen that nifty corner trick on hankies on the Purlsoho blog, I think. Wonder if it would work for quilt corners…
What a great tutorial…I want to make one, too. I already bookmarked this blog. Thanks!
I totally love this blog! I get mounds of inspiration everytime I read! Thanks to everyone for sharing!
What an adorable dress. So sweet.
Can’t wait for more!!! Thanks
Thanks for the blog mention! (Craftpad) I love your site and appreciate all of your ideas.
