    Ooh, so many good ideas. I just started frequenting this blog and luv it. I am sort of a beginning sewer, even though I’ve been doing it since I was young. I sort of just take it one project at a time. I am gearing up for lots of homemade xmas gifts. I saw that book in the store and loved it, as i am French, its just my style.

    Crochet hook caddy! Score! My grandmother is the crocheter in the family (her grandkids and greatgrandkids can’t hold a candle to her prowess) and I think she’d really enjoy this. Much better than the book of stamps and Wal-Mart gift card I (ever-practical) gave her last year.

    Go Ayumi!!!! I love her fabric basket tutorial and have made one myself. Am thinking will make some in Christmas fabric to put gifts in instead of wrapping paper. They are a great way to use up scraps of fabric and more environmentally friendly than wrapping paper.

    The pointer finger pincushion likes simple and very handy. You always have great ideas and tutorials. I love checking this site for gift ideas ( for myself or others). The book looks interesting – I love the spiral bound books, so much easier to work from since it stays open. Thanks for the great projects.

    Pointer finger pin cushion will be great for friends who hand piece. PInk Penguin’s basket looks to be a great find- i’ve got orphan blocks i could use instead of piecing the squares. I’ll go try it!
