I made my 2 year old nephew an “I spy” tube (clear, tough plastic mailing tube with little plastic beads, glitter and some treasures to find as you rotate the tube around – I’ll have to post about it) and have been looking for something else to make for him. Score! That fishing thing is six kinds of awesome and I happen to have the stuff needed to make it already.

The only thing better than giving a cool, thoughtful gift is giving a cool, thoughtful gift for which no shopping whatsoever is required! Many, many thanks!

Oh that fishing game is great! I’ve already started a set for my three year old and am attaching gills or spots in different amounts to each fish to practice our number skills. He can fish for the number 3, 5, 7 or 10. He’ll love it — thanks!

Thanks for the beanbag idea. I’ve made and uploaded my photos for beanbags with numbers 1 – 10 sewn on to them with buttons or embroidery work representing each number. I’ve also made a matching tote to carry them in and have included a small books of beanbag games that I have compiled for mom & dad to play with the children. Just too cute! Thanks for the inspiration!
