I think i’ll make some of these, except i’ll double the length, fold them in half and add the button. That way it would slip over the page and be held pretty securely. Maybe i have issues lol
My daughter has just discovered chapter books, and we are always looking for ways to mark our spot each night.
Very nice. I may have to make some of these today.

I have to say, I recently found your blog. And now it has a prominent place on my daily read list. I recently inherited my late grandmothers sewing machine and since then I have been on the hunt for fun, easy patterns to make. I love seeing each day what you have in store for us! Keep them coming!

Cheers, Bec
What a nice way to surprise a friend with scraps from a project we worked on together. We trade books all the time.
I have a HUGE bag of small scraps I couldn’t bear to part with. I knew the perfect project would come along to use them all up. I think the bookmarks are a great idea. I love the added touch of the buttons.
These are a really cute idea!
Love the button detail, cute and functional. Love the paper and fabric bookmark from How About Orange, too.
This is perfect for the little scraps I have leftover from larger projects. Plus, I love to read, and have LOTS of friends who love to read. I think it would be fun to keep a ’stash’ of these bookmarks on hand to give as gifts, place on a nightstand for a guest staying over, or even ‘hide’ in a library book to surprise the next person checking it out! Thanks for the inspiration!
What a great idea for using little scraps! I need to make some of these.
great use for all my tiny scraps
I already commented on this, but now I have actually made a fabric bookmark! It was so quick and easy, and a wonderful way to use every last scrap of my fabric. You can see the first of what will hopefully be many bookmarks here: http://lfinndesigns.blogspot.com/2009/02/my-first-bookmark.html Thanks again for the wonderful inspiration!
That’s definitely a much prettier bookmark than the paper ones I pick up for free at the library!
Great idea! Hubby & I love to read and he’s always misplacing his bookmark. I’ll have to make him some extras! BTW, greens a fabulous color!!!
I love to read as much as I love to sew so these are perfect. I love the buttons on the top.
